September 2, 2024Sep 2 I like both bands quite a lot (aside from not liking Gary Barlow himself lol). All Saints were so cool too such a shame they are no longer releasing.

September 2, 2024Sep 2 Great to see Take That climbing from last time. They've released some fantastic pop songs over the years (even if I'd rank East 17 above them as my favourite 90s boy band). Although 'Babe' is a huge favourite, they really came into their own with their more mature sound - 'Back For Good' remains one of the best boy band singles ever, and 'Patience' must surely be one of the best comeback singles ever. Funny how everyone thought Gary Barlow would be the breakout solo star of the band... well, everyone but Robbie thought that lol. All Saints were great too, Studio 1 deserved to be a bigger album than it was. Am I right in saying that it sold more the week it entered and peaked at #40 than Red Flag sold when it entered at #3 10 years later?

He was so full of himself and then came back all when he wasn't quite the star he thought he was going to be solo but Take That success and X Factor just made him so full of himself again. :puke2: I can see the pretentious side at times but then at other times he comes accross very down to earth, he has openly admitted how fame got to his head and what he was like a the peak of take that first time around but i really like mot of his solo work and in general prefer his solo output to robbies. His 12 months 11 days album which flopped has a couple of great songs on it especially Lie to me which should have been the lead single for the album.

Back For Good, Pray and Babe are my fave Take That songs but also love their version of Could It Be Magic. :D Yeah, Robbie really showcased his voice with Could It Be Magic, that should have been a clear indicator of how big he was gonna be!
