I was a fairly big Little Mix fan but I've found myself becoming less of a fan since they went on a hiatus. Unlike other groups on a break or having split I don't find myself going back to their music while I used to listen to songs across their albums each time a new song was released. I think they are incredible talented though all four of them, I saw them in concert during their Glory Days tour and also the summer dates afterwards and thought they were excellent.

 

I think I’m the same as you. I didn’t see my name on their post, so I’m a little surprised I didn’t give them points.

Vocally Little Mix are more talented than some other girl groups I’d ranked higher but I feel like some of the other acts (particularly UK girl groups) just had a bit more of an edge and the material felt more out-there and edgy.

 

I have to hand it to Little Mix for managing to make it to studio album 6 before drama begun to unfold though. The hiatus come at a good time for them but it is a shame that things are sour between the girls now (well one member).

 

LM5 would probably be my favourite from the girls now as a whole album listen. I think that’s their album what felt most like them and had some real career highs on there but what weren’t pushed as singles.

I prefer Steps to Little Mix so would have preferred Steps to have got the 5th place due to them been on the same points but i do like Little Mix aswell so i wont complain.

I always think imagine if they had been like Girls Aloud releasing an album every year they were active, their discography would be formidable! :o

5th is probably a bit high for Little Mix but I do really like a lot of their songs and gave them 12 points, even ones the forum aren't keen on like 'Black Magic' lol. Seriously impressed how much they stuck around too - 10 years or so which is even ore impressive coming from a talent show group at that!

 

but for now I look forward to The Saturdays' eventual reunion sending the nation back into meltdown :kink:

For Little Mix have some decent pop songs but that’s it. There’s a group like that in every decade.

Well done Sugababes, I actually thought they might be top 2 this year tbh. Absolutely iconic but I do wish they’d had less line up changes. Also hope we get more stuff from the current/original line up soon!

The 2000-2008 (not including 'Girls') era of the Sugababes was so strong :wub: especially love their anthemic bangers like 'Freak Like Me', 'Round Round' and 'Hole In The Head' as well as the Change era and 'Overload' was a great introduction for them as well!

Im surprised they only got one 30 pointer!!

 

Adore this group. Such strong material and they have recently been killing the festival scene with the original line up.

Yeah same here. Do like a lot of GA though.

28 voters for the Sugababes is impressive and 531 is a very good score, so the Top 3 have done very well too.

 

I didn’t vote for them but I’m certainly much more positive about them than #6 and #5. I still think their first set of singles was marvellous, especially “Run Fo Cover” and “Overload”. The second lineup produced some huge classics including “Freak Like Me” which was a genuinely marvellous cover. I love some of their more introspective songs like “Too Lost In You” and “Stronger” too. I think their last single I really like is the hypnotic “Push The Button”, and certainly after Mutya left they became more run of the mill and subsequent attempts at reinvention became less and less successful. The less said about “Get Sexy” the better.

 

But overall while I wouldn’t say they’re anywhere near the 4th best group ever they’re a hugely important force in pop history and deserve a good placing.

A well deserved place in the top 5 for the Sugababes, they've delivered some incredible songs over the years and their voices are flawless. Unlike other bands of their ilk, I actually enjoying listening to many of their albums as a whole and not just the singles. The Lost Tapes also had some brilliant songs on it too, so I hope the OG lineup give us another album soon!

By far the greatest pop group the UK have ever produced.

Sugababes 2.0 are perhaps my favourite girl group ever BUT as a collective i had to take into account 4.0 and the Catfights album!

 

The Sugababes did have 5 great albums though and some fantastic singles. Really hope 1.0 get another full studio album out there too. I really think 2.0s stuff still sounds rather current now and hasn’t really aged that much the way some acts who debuted later have a dated sound to certain material.
