I have to say I'm surprised their back catalogue hasn't had the 4k restoration / vinyl pressing / singles on Spotify treatment yet? Unless they're saving it for the 30th I suppose whilst Mark still rests up and recovers.
I'm surprised there was no 25th anniversary release but I suppose they would want to lump in some new stuff with that as well. I like what Take That did with Odyssey and did some rerecordings, I'd like them to do that.

Re: 4k restoration they've done it for You Raise Me Up but nothing else yet seemingly.

Streaming definitely increases the long tail of their songs for sure. Not all of them - I doubt The Rose would add much on streaming for example.

Still feel it's a shame that they couldn't get another #1 after that one. I know they don't pump much into the single campaign these days but still.

Where are we at with total sales for Spectrum and Wild Dreams?

Unfortunately we dont have any info on those albums. I would guess they are at around 200k for spectrum and maybe 120k for Wild dreams

This is a happy update, with sad details and sad colours… i dont get it and i wonder why the issues with mark are so mysterious for the last 3-4 years…

They're not mysterious. They told us he had sepsis and an operation on his hernia and was taking time out to recover.

Does this need 3-4 years? Also he was back st some time. Maybe the issue is also mental?

Yes, and he clearly needed more recovery time, not to return to performing so soon. That may have slowed down the recovery process.

I think it is special for someone to sing in royal albert hall right ?

They've just announced a 25th anniversary tour. It's a bit tenuous (they say so themselves) as it marks 25 years since their first tour.

They're also releasing new music next week and Mark is on it. No sign of him being ready to perform with them though, I dread to imagine how bad his health was that he's had to be out of action for this long.

But then he probably also wants to raise his daughter as well.

Mark's story is a sad one and reminds us again that nothing is for granted in this world but also do as much as you are still strong and healthy. I wish he will be a winner out of all this and see them again as a four piece performing at some point cause the possibility of never happening again is there..
