Like with any Kylie related release, I'll expect nothing and if it does anything whatsoever it'll be a nice surprise.

Honestly this and especially collabs

I think RAYE is out Friday too.

She will dominate some NMF.

I have high hopes of a top 5 NMF Spotify UK playlisting and maybe a top 10 on the NMF Worldwide playlist. That would give it a boost. A video on Friday no matter how cheap would be great as an add on for music website articles etc.

Great start - added to the Radio 2 A-List and is their track of the week next week :cheer:
I can imagine her performing with Jake shears as surprise guest at next weeks BST!

I hope not. Jake is not good for her career.

Golden reject? Sounds better than that just from the 30 second clip.

It's got a dance pulsating beat.

Not long until NZ and Australia get it.

Quantify this? Or rather explain how him appearing on stage would negatively affect her career.

He did provide her with a big hit as well let's not forget.

Yep he had his moment and with Scissor Sisters but i don't think he would bring anything new. I think he over sexualizes stuff too. I liked their song together off his latest album but his streaming numbers are terrible as a solo artist and this is where she can grow and needs to grow going forward.

An appearance as a guest at show wouldn't be my choice but at least she is out and about enjoying herself

Heh, this feels like throwing stones in glasses houses when your favourite is the chanteuse who's recently delivered:

Wanna kiss me where the sun don't shine

Wow, wanna devour

Me boy, I might get wet, bring a towеl

After we're donе, let's hop in the shower

Countin' the seconds, minutes, and hours

and

Oh, my God, touch me right there

Almost there, touch me right there

Don't be shy, boy, I don't bite

You know where

:kink:

I'd rather that Kylie collaborates with artists primarily for artistic reasons, with a focus on releasing a great song that she's proud of! I wouldn't like to think of a situation that she declines working with an artist, old or new, just because their "streaming numbers are terrible".

"Streaming numbers need to grow going forward" - honestly, this feels like a younger artist's game, in regards to its level of importance. I feel like anything that happens in that realm to Kylie is a nice bonus for her career, but hardly the most important focus/goal. She's so established and stable, more so than the majority of artists are. She's proven to be able to reliably sell ~50k albums in a week with a new album, which only a small handful of artists are able to do (or exceed). Any increase in her streaming numbers due to collaborations... it's not really moving the dial a great deal.

From my perspective, the result of Dance Alone was mainly: fans gaining a new song that they might like, and hopefully it being artistically fulfilling and fun for Kylie and Sia. Commercially... well, if it hadn't have happened, the state of their careers would be exactly the same as they are currently, let's be honest. Countless posts were made about how it's doing on streaming, and when all is said and done it's not even in Sia's Popular Top 10, four months on.

With Midnight Ride, I personally just hope I like it and enjoy playing it a lot - anything else is a bonus. Great if it somehow manages to get to #67 or gets 15m streams in 3 months worldwide or whatever, and I'm sure we'll end up with 40 pages of discussion regarding solely that. :kink: I really dont think the existence of this song is particularly driven by "Kylie needs to grow (her streaming) going forward" though.

First Itunes position

14 Australia  lol

Kylie sounds so breathy, confident, sexy

Catchy and camp as hell!!!

Someone I guess deleted my Midnight song Poll. Can it be reinstated please ?

The song feels that it belongs to the Golden era.

It is odd to see Kylie revisit a previous sound as an artist Kylie generally moves forward to a new sound for her.

This could be another song that will appear on the long awaited new Tension release.

I don’t associate the song with the Golden era. I’m not sure where I would place it but it would easily fit in with the sound of disco more than tension. I really like the track. It’s fresh, catchy and infectious.

Ouch sadly the NMF Spotfiy playlists haven't gone for this ....... 50 on the UK list !!!

Way way down in the UK list and even in Australia. The good thing is she usually releases on a weds or Thurs and those are all lost streams so they will capture lots of inquisitivity even if not from the NMF playlists

Maybe it's too niche a sound?

Fun song and actually very pacey in its delivery. Which I love

Let's hope the downloads get it noticed today. Up to 18 already so should be nearer the top 10 by midmorning hopefully. Number 3 in Australia

Early morning tweet from Kylie always helpful

It's very catchy

Edit: it's. Unbelievably catchy! I'm going to be humming this all night and day

It's probably a Pride warmup track for Kylies own album release and summer track/tracks
