My OH is Portuguese so should be backing Portugal but I’m secretly rooting for the underdogs. :kink:

At least if Slovenia go through the BBCs love-in with Ronaldo can end.

Is Ronaldo going to be able to pull it together for the final 15 minutes?

Maybe Slovenia might win this

Maybe Slovenia might win this

Their defence seems good so could do if it goes to penalties.

That was dirty from Slovenia.

If there is a Golden Gloves award at the Euros it should go to Oblak.

And Kek has been sent off for Slovenia, The Slovenia head coach.

If this goes to penalties and Ronaldo misses again….

So it goes to penalties!!

Saved by Diogo Costa, 0-0.

I can’t cope

And now Ronaldo to take again......

This time he scores.... 1-0 Portugal.

Advantage Portugal.

Bruno Fernandez to take for Portugal, and he scores, 2-0 Portugal.

Match point Portugal, another great save from Diogo Costa.

Oh dear that was a bit embarrassing for the Slovenian goalie. D.Costa saving Portugal’s ass.

Portugal through 3-0 on penalties. Heartbreak for Slovenia. So we have a France v Portugal quarterfinal a repeat of the Euro 2016 final and the Euro 2000 semi-final.

Well Slovenia missed every pen. Both keepers had great games. Portugal v France is still a tasty game even if they’ve both been underwhelming

If only Slovenia had scored that 1-on-1 chance they had after Pepe's mistake! That was great mental courage that Ronaldo showed to step up first to take the penalty in the shootout after having his earlier penalty saved in extra time. Portugal Vs France should hopefully be entertaining.
