Thanks, it’s all quite random and confusing but I am enjoying the chaos!

Shockingly deluded. He must feel under some big pressure. Sometimes you just have to admit the better team won! Certainly against Liverpool, whilst in the 2nd leg I think that was the best I’ve seen u

Decent draw away for Celtic tonight considering Bundys record away in Europe and their previous 7-1 defeat!

Truly bizarre to see City lose 3 in a row, they've not been this bad since Pep's first season in charge.

They need the international break. It’s clear they’re running low on bodies and the loss of Rodri is massive. If you watch their patterns, they’re trying to have more control in games to make up for the lack of Rodri. Let’s see what happens but this feels slightly different.

Yeah Rodri is the big one, we saw last season their win % with and without him. I said in an earlier thread that losing him is worse than losing even Haaland.
Gabriel did the same thing last season but got away with it, maybe that incident prompted refs to take a stricter stance on it going forward.

Liverpool should play the kids next week vs PSV, despite Barcas late comeback

Edited by Steve201

Man City on the verge of elimination after bottling another 2 goal lead and losing 4-2 against PSG. They have to beat Club Brugge next week to make it into the play offs. I think this new format has exposed how easy it has been in recent years for them to make it into the knockout stages, they've practically been by-passed into the round of 16 which helps them go deep into the Champions League every season. Some of the results that they had in group stage matches over the years have been embarrassingly comfortable for them.

In fairness its not just City its all the big sides who can easily qualify from the old groups, this makes it more exciting esp for smaller teams who have a chance of the playoffs at least with a top 16 finish.

But the new format is also way too easy for the big teams to qualify imo. City have been utter dross but one win gets them a 2 legged playoff from which they could recover. Any other season and they'd have been eliminated already with this current form.
