Didn't realise Train had a new single out! I'd love it to do a 'Play That Song', but I doubt it.

Great to see Blossoms as well! Hopefully R1 playlist it this week.

Train has been out for ages. I guess their properly pushing it now with news of their Greatest Hits album coming out

Oop I was just about to update this, got half way through and saw you updated it. Thanks Theo! :)

Ah sorry, I saw you hadn't been online for a while so did the update.

Strange that radio 2 instantly add Jonas Blue but keep Mumford and Sons on the clist!!

agree, makes no sense, Mumfords make perfect R2 music

same this week, just read on twitter that they added Zara and Ellie to the A and B list, respectively, R2 is becoming more poppy than R1

Do songs move up the playlist on Radio 2?

Yeh I've definitely noticed how they've become a more pop orientated station in the past 3 years than MOR. Which is strange to me because that's what I felt radio 1 were meant to focus on albeit with a new music focus. You would think that would bring the average listener age downwards!

I completely disagree with the above statements that Radio 2 has just recently turned more pop  It’s always been a primarily pop station? But they do cater to a wider range of genres too. I get that perhaps seeing a new track from Jonas Blue and Zara Larsson could be surprising to some, but they have always been a station to showcase new music that’s fits in with their target audience (which is wide ranging tbf). They often throw out refreshing surprises which is great to see! Let’s be honest, who wants a playlist of just Cliff Richard and Paul Weller etc?

Also, absolutely loving that Paul Heaton & Jacqui Abbott track, what a jam!

They’ve always played pop on R2 as long as it’s straightforward pop and nothing too ‘out there’, ‘urban’ or overly dancey (though dance pop often makes it).
Does the Radio 2 version of Woman Like Me have the Nicki verse on it?

It does not.

Also removed Travie McCoy from the credit on the Train track now as they’re playing the version just featuring Cam.

It actually does! They give it a spin today so I guess that is the only version that has been serviced to radio.

There is a version without Swae Lee available.
