October 15, 20214 yr Author Is the number of weeks on the playlist generally increasing? I remember a year ago 5 weeks seemed pretty much the maximum and fairly unusual, but the Dua/Elton song had 7 weeks and there are quite a few on 5 weeks. 5-6 weeks is still the standard, with a lot only getting 4 too, but yes the odd song getting more has been increasing ever so slightly over recent months.

October 22, 20214 yr Author Where did the new Bowie song come from? It's a track he recorded in 1965 under the name Davy Jones and then re-recorded in 2000 for the album Toy which never saw the light of day. The track has had releases on a couple of albums and as a single B-side too. It'll now appear on the posthumous release Toy:Box out January 7th
October 24, 20214 yr Author Scott Mills is covering for Ken Bruce all week from tomorrow on Radio 2. He's done it a few times now this year and although I can't quite see him leaving R1 just yet he would be a perfect fit to take over that show in the future.
