Ed is actually missing from the website but I've kept him in as the A List is one track short otherwise and I'd be surprised if they've removed him after 2 weeks!

they really like Lola Lennox

Back at Wrong was fantastic, a bit Duffy-esque

have to check the new one yet...

Second week A List for Cold :cheeseblock:

Great to see Real Groove A Listed too!! (wonder if they'll be playing the Dua version)

It is the Dua-less version, though I have no doubt they'll give spot plays to the remix

Also, did we know that Dev (formerly of Radio 1) has moved to Heart?? Unexpected.

Yeh ‘Back At Wrong’ was so infectious, pity radio 1 didn’t support it too!

Good to see Becky and Liam get another week too! Interesting Brucies album gets plays two months on from release.

Yeh saw that him, Phil Taggart and Huw left before Xmas, sad especially for the latter who was on radio 1 for 20 years near enough.

Wow! Really wasn’t expecting Everybody Dance to be on there! Radio 2 don’t often playlist pure dance songs do they?

What do you mean by pure dance songs?

They do play quite a bit of dance artists though like a Guetta etc

I knew that I’d worded that completely wrong when I sent it but I couldn’t think of another way to put it 😂 it’s probably more subjective but for example not pop dance songs, so I’d say Let’s Love (David Guetta/Sia) and Rain on Me that they have played are more Dance Pop whilst Everybody Dance is more of a solid dance song!

I think that it's a cover of a Chic disco song from 1978 probably helps...! And they love anything with Nile Rodgers on it. But yes they have been more dance friendly of late. Head & Heart did very well. Jubel's Dancing In The Moonlight I think as well? They played that 220 Kid follow-up recently which actually did sound a little out of place I thought.

Even the Nathan Dawe/LM track although dance pop sounds out of place on radio 2 imo!

I kind of knew what you meant but wanted you to expand on it so I was right in my thought of what you meant 😂

Radio 2 isn't stuck in the dark ages of dreary pop folks, it hasn't been for some time now. There was a certain shift in the output in 2015 and since then they've broadened their horizons a lot when it comes to music. They've played a lot of dance music you wouldn't "expect" but that is very much the norm now.

I think it has the best playlist in the UK! They're playing less 60s & 70s in daytime than they used to too. I love it.
