61 NE 90 DJ Snake & Lil Jon - Turn Down For What

Some big changes this year, and I think a lower vote overall is going to make some of the results a little more interesting/ changeable this year. The vote for ‘Changing’ completely collapses this year dropping from 39 to 84, we also see a big drop for ‘Iron Sky’ which plummets from 27 to 66 – it’s managed to reach the AQ zone the last couple of years but this year its vote really dried up. There are some big climbs though most notably for ‘Sledgehammer’ which ascends from 105 to 64 in its final year. Also doing well in its last year is ‘Wild Heart’ which climbs 40 places this year to 62. Also to note, despite getting a nomination ‘Drunk Tonight’ failed to pick up any points at all and sits rock bottom of the results.

Nearly There

60 71 92 Maroon 5 - Animals

59 67 92 Clean Bandit (feat. Jess Glynne) - Real Love

58 NE 95 Saturdays - Not Giving Up

57 30 98 Wankelmut & Emma Louise - My Head Is A Jungle (MK Remix)

56 NE 98 Röyksopp & Robyn - Do It Again

55 68 98 MAGIC - Rude!

54 53 99 Little Mix - Salute

53 41 101 Neon Jungle – Braveheart

52 54 101 Marina and the Diamonds – Froot

51 46 109 Zedd (feat. Hayley Williams) - Stay the Night

50 59 112 Porter Robinson - Sad Machine

49 62 112 Kasabian - Eez-Eh

48 26 119 Klingande - Jubel

47 40 125 Ariana Grande (feat. Iggy Azalea) - Problem

46 NE 126 TR/ST - Capitol

45 43 130 Tinashe (feat. Schoolboy Q) - 2 On

44 31 131 Lorde - Yellow Flicker Beat

43 NE 131 Foxes - Let Go For Tonight

42 09 133 Paloma Faith - Only Love Can Hurt Like This

41 82 134 Röyksopp & Robyn - Monument

40 56 135 Gorgon City (feat. MNEK) - Ready For Your Love

39 95 135 alt-J - Every Other Freckle

38 38 137 Vance Joy - Riptide

37 28 138 Sigma - Nobody To Love

36 47 140 George Ezra - Budapest

So the changes keep on coming and we lose a semi-finalist here as ‘Only Love Can Hurt Like This’ drops from 9th place to 42nd, it picked up 10 votes overall but 4 of its votes were 8pts or less. ‘My Head is Jungle’ drops from 30 to 57; it AQ last year but this year failed to really pick up backing. ‘Nobody to Love’ slides from 28 to 37 to finish off quite a bad voting year for Sigma, again it was in the AQ zone last year but this year drops out. ‘Jubel’ also drops from 26 to 48 and ‘Yellow Little Flicker’ slides from 31 to 44 and out of the AQ zone. There will be no AQ for this year next year, but I guess shows what would’ve happened. There are some big climbs though with ‘Every Other Freckle climbing from 95 to 39 to have a strong finishes, ‘Monument’ also climbs from 82 to 41 to end its ROTD run on a high. ‘Budapest’ misses out of the would-be AQ by 2pts.

(Should Be) Auto-Qualifyers

35 34 142 Faul & Wad vs. Pnau - Changes

34 76 146 First Aid Kit - My Silver Lining

33 63 146 5 Seconds of Summer - She Looks So Perfect

32 NE 147 Magician (feat. Years & Years) – Sunlight

31 42 150 Calvin Harris (feat. John Newman) – Blame

30 23 152 Iggy Azalea (feat. Charli XCX) - Fancy

29 35 154 Charli XCX - Boom Clap

28 44 155 Duke Dumont (feat. Jax Jones) - I Got U

27 25 156 Watermat - Bullit

26 32 161 Taylor Swift - Shake It Off

25 37 166 Ariana Grande (feat. The Weeknd) - Love Me Harder

24 13 182 Taylor Swift - Blank Space

23 08 182 Bombay Bicycle Club - Luna

22 14 182 Beyoncé (feat. Jay-Z) - Drunk in Love

21 22 190 G.R.L - Ugly Heart

Some more big changes here for the would be Auto-Qualifyers for next year… if all these songs weren’t ineligible for next year. ‘My Silver Lining’ is a big climber, rising from 76 to 34, ‘She Looks So Perfect climbs from 63 to 33 and ‘Blame’ climbs 11 places to 31. ‘Sunlight’ failed to pick up a nomination last year, so this year is a big new entry at 32. We also have climbs for ‘I Got U’ at 28 and ‘Love Me Harder’ which climbs 12 places at 25. Whilst there are some big climbers, there are some big drops too; we lose another 3 of last years Semi-Finalists as ‘Blank Space’ slides 11 places to 24, ‘Luna’ drops from 8 to 23’ and ‘Drunk in Love’ falls 8 places to 22. ‘Ugly Heart’ climbs a place and misses the Semi-Finals by 2pts.

Semi-Finals

20 20 192 Oliver Heldens & Becky Hill - Gecko (Overdrive)

19 24 193 Katy Perry (feat. Juicy J) - Dark Horse

18 17 197 Lorde - Team

17 11 199 Rita Ora - I Will Never Let You Down

16 33 209 Ten Walls - Walking With Elephants

15 21 212 Avicii (feat. Dan Tyminski) - Hey Brother

14 12 217 Mr. Probz - Waves (Robin Schulz Remix)

13 15 217 Clean Bandit (feat. Jess Glynne) - Rather Be

12 16 229 Zhu - Faded

11 19 232 Taylor Swift - Out of The Woods

10 04 232 Ella Henderson - Ghost

09 07 232 Ariana Grande (feat. Zedd) - Break Free

08 29 234 FKA Twigs - Two Weeks

07 10 244 Lana Del Rey - West Coast

06 06 255 Lilly Wood and The Prick - Prayer In C (Robin Schulz Remix)

So looking at what has qualified; ‘Dark Horse’ climbs 5 places at 19 to reach the semi-finals whilst ‘Walking with Elephants’ ascends 17 places to 16 and ‘Hey Brother’ climbs 6 places to 15. ‘Two Weeks’ sees a big surge in support and hits the top 10, climbing from 29 to 8th place – it gained 10 votes, but 8 of them were top 10 and it had 2 top rankings. ‘Ghost’ meanwhile drops 6 places this year and no longer has a direct route through to the final. ‘West Coast’ climbs 3 places to 7 and ‘Prayer in C’ remains in 6th place, missing out on a direct route to the final by 8pts.

:cheer: Finals :cheer:

05 18 263 HAIM - If I Could Change Your Mind

04 01 271 Katy B - Crying For No Reason

03 05 297 Kiesza - Hideaway

02 03 330 Sia - Chandelier

01 02 340 Tove Lo - Habits (Stay High) (Original / Hippie Sabotage Remix)

So its all change at the top! ‘Crying For No Rason’ has been dominant at the top of the 2014 voting for so long, but this year it struggled and actually only just manages to make the top 5. Last year it was 50pts ahead of ‘Habits’ but this year trails it by 79pts. ‘Habit’s meanwhile climbs a place to hit the top spot – its been gunning for the number 1 for a few years and seemed to be growing in popularity, it gained points from all bar 7 voters. ‘Chandelier’ also manages to climb a places and finishes 10pts behind ‘Habits’. Meanwhile the big story is a massive climb for ‘If I Could Change Your Mind’ which surges from 18th place to the top 5. It had a slow start, but an incredibly strong vote towards the end to see it take 5th place. Rounding out the top 5 is ‘Hideaway’ which climbs 2 places into the top 3.

Yay Hey Brother finally going to semi! :cheer:

yes, very pleasing to see Hey Brother finally make the semi-finals and various other favourites keeping their places

Walking With Elephants is a great surprise semi-finalist too

not as keen about trading Ghost for If I Could Change Your Mind in the direct-to-finals but always good to have a bit of a shake-up within the top 5 I guess

LETS GET IT HAIM *.*

thought it'd be nice to give Sunlight a final run in this, glad it still has a solid voter base
