It will flop, they are not ABBA and need to stop thinking they are!

  • It's such a bad bad idea... And this was clearly planted by Simon and his team to see if there is any traction to it. Ive had a look and all comments everywhere seem very negative, so that should be a

It's a horrible idea at this point, it's simply far too early. By all means think about doing it in 2046... but not now!! They're only in their early 50s (or 49 x), there's really no valid excuses for

This! They have to understand this. Their physical presence is necessary for projects to do well. People are excited by them, not 'versions' of them. It's one thing to do merch, but holograms is just taking the piss

I'm not sure about that. Voyage has been a tremendous success.

People would love to see the girls in their 90's incarnations. Holograms are the future of touring.

P.S.

Jay & SpiceBoy - I sent you a PM.

ABBA musical, Mamma Mia! was a huge hit too. That also didn't apply to Viva Forever The Musical. The spice girls generation is currently in their prime (20-40ish i'd say) so I'm sure they'd (myself included) rather spend money to see the girls in person while we still can.

Also Spice Girls are not, and never will be, on the level of Abba. ABBA had a ten year run and released tons of material (huge material for a long time too) unlike Spice Girls who are really known for 2 albums and 9 singles to the genera public. THEY are the draw and they need to remember that.
There is no reason to do a hologram tour now when tnat could be a money maker in 10+ years time.

I’m sure whatever they announce it’ll

be absolute garbage as usual. I have no faith in them to bring anything actually exciting anymore

As some of you have mentioned, releasing a rarities album alongside the documentary would be amazing. Though I just don't see it happening.

If anyone is interested or looking for some of the Spice25 releases that sold out on their website/HMV/Amazon (such as the individual vinyls, the Wannabe cassette, etc), you can find them all still available on the Bravado website, some of them are on discount as well:

It is on the European website, so it might be cheaper for shipping expenses to the UK too than from the USA.

There is a Coachella poster floating about that has Spice Girls headlining on it. It could obviously be fake and is most likely to be. The only reason I even mention it is because Emma said 'See you next year' on her US Thanksgiving post Nov last year and it is 2 weekends in mid April, I believe Mel C has no gigs booked in now till May.

The line up is normally released sometime in Jan.

Honestly I seriously doubt it
I mean Spice girls at Coachella would be the best thing ever (bigger that Glastonbury for non-UK folks) but I seriously doubt they would have enough pull for the organizers to go after them
Not that I believe it but all 5 of them would be a pull for anything. They also fully restocked the US store recently with everything, individual vinyls, cassettes, Wannabe cassette and so on.
Well the Coachella line up has been announced and neither the Spice Girls nor Justin Timberlake are on it :nocheer:
