Yeah it is just how Emma has posed for the last about 10 years, she must prefer her side profile as she always normally gets side on for pics. Which is fine next to just one person as she will just side on towards them but in the middle of two people it means her turning her back on one.

It is always amazing to see all 5 together.

It will flop, they are not ABBA and need to stop thinking they are!

  • It's such a bad bad idea... And this was clearly planted by Simon and his team to see if there is any traction to it. Ive had a look and all comments everywhere seem very negative, so that should be a

It's a horrible idea at this point, it's simply far too early. By all means think about doing it in 2046... but not now!! They're only in their early 50s (or 49 x), there's really no valid excuses for

Funny how Victoria always look exactly the same on all the pictures. it's a bit scary.

It really has gone mega viral! Just this tweet has over 139,000 likes and 12million views!

VB's and DB's has millions of views across different platforms, and the group picture is everywhere! The press is also having a FIELD day, with some saying this is prime moment for them to get loads of offers thrown their way! :cheer:

The last time we had so much online commotion about them was with the opening of the tour, but a similar situation to this weekend's can only be with the 2018 picture at Geri's house with all 5 of them.

Time to get booking those tour dates girlies :yahoo:

What’s the tea?

Someone said the salty mixers were beter, as theyw eren't manufactured!!!!! I set that record straighter than a spirit level!

Geri looks toyally out of place in that white frock. The other four don't need her, but they do need four, so they need VB.

This!! At the flop musical premiere, doin that pushed VBaway and made her look like she was skulkin about in the background like Emily Du Strange

A 5-piece tour is not happening. Victoria is too self-conscious for that. And it seems Geri is losing interest as well.
Geri quit once they did that big show down in London!!! She did what she always wanted to do and then left to be Shakespeare/ Lady of the Manor from Sound of Music.
I won't let myself get my hopes up, because Victoria has been very adamant about not wanting to. If only though. They look so incredible together! It just feels right. The reaction they get when they're together, after all these years... very few have that power. Somehow it takes me a little by surprise just how many people care, after all this time. Always a major news story. Viral moments on social media. It's special!

As good as they look together...as good as their chemistry is...I never get my hopes up about them doing something as a group. I think there's a reality they were never built to be a longterm thing. They're all natural stars, but their levels of focus and drive just aren't the same. There was always bound to be issues when you've got one member who truly thrives on singing live and touring...and another member who's overtly uncomfortable with all of that...and others who might not have the attention span or life priorities for it. It was never going to jive for the long haul. And I understand that. The quick reunions we've gotten have all been just bonuses for me.

The only thing that's ever irked me is their constant teasing of reunions. I'm not talking about this video David took. No, that's genuinely just cute, and I'm glad that was shared for all of us to see. But the cynic in me does kinda think they typically know a reunion isn't really in the cards...and they're just teasing one anyway to help promote some new book or TV show they're doing solo. The new projects won't get many headlines or raise a profile, but reunion rumors will.

I agree, the constant using the girls to feed their own solo ventures is just annoying. Just say there is nothing planned and leave it at that.

You hit the nail on the head to be honest... Even if the reunion at Victoria's bday party wasn't itself strategic to get the group back on tour, it is definitely a viral moment which each member will utilise to promote their next projects.

I am quite tired of it....

In other news, the cesspit of derranged people in Spice Circle have started many - MANY - discussions on how apparently the picture of the five of them at VB's bday is fake and that they were not taking the picture together, that they were all added from various pictures into one group shot...

This fandom, honestly...

Anything Victoria does is strategic, hence why she was the one to post the 5 piece picture. She knew it would drive engagement on her socials and in turn promote her businesses.

I would be very surprised if she ever does agree to a tour but I can't see it!

I heard VB wasn't event here - it was just a caddboard cut out, which is why the pose is always the same!! :o Only David Beckham was there, as she made hin go!!! She was in Hollyqood with allt he others, gettin sloshed at a Rihanna party!!

A couple of cute quotes from Melanie C & Emma about Peter Loraine, who won Music Week's The Strat award:

Melanie C & Emma Bunton, Spice Girls

MC: “I don't think people realise how instrumental Peter has been in a huge part of what the Spice Girls went on to become. Not many people knew what the Spice Girls were at that point, did they?”

EB: “Not at all. We went to meet him because obviously Top Of The Pops Magazine was huge. I think we wanted a cover. So he actually gave us our nicknames.”

MC: “It was a bit of a game-changer for the Spice Girls because we were such strong characters, but because of those nicknames, we were able to become caricatures of who we were.”

What The Strat Award is if anyone is interested = Music Week team's special award for an outstanding contribution to the music business. The award was named after Tony Stratton-Smith (nicknamed ‘Strat’), a former journalist who became a larger-than-life industry character as a manager (The Nice, The Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band, Van Der Graaf Generator) and the founder of Charisma Records (Genesis, Peter Gabriel, Julian Lennon, Lindisfarne), ‘Strat’ died in 1987, aged just 53, of pancreatic cancer. His huge popularity throughout the industry, however, meant that later that year, Music Week’s most prestigious award was named in his honour.

And here's what Peter Loraine had to say about the Spice Girls:

Rolling back a bit, how did those Spice Girls nicknames come about?

“Virgin Records asked us, at Top Of The Pops magazine, to come and have lunch and meet this new band. And, at the time, they didn’t really have anyone big, maybe Shaggy. But me and Susie Boone, who was the deputy editor, went to Portobello and met them. We were there first and sat on a rooftop. I remember the sound of a car screeching up and the noise of them getting out and charging up the wooden stairs. They were so loud and funny and amazing. We were with them for a few hours. During that lunch, I said, ‘We're going to give you your own Top Of The Pops names. So our readers can have their own ownership of you.’ It was based on two things. The Belle Stars used to use their band name as their surname. And, in the ’80s, Fuzzbox had their own personal nicknames in Smash Hits. So it was a combination of the two.

“Fast-forward a few weeks and Wannabe had just come out and they were in Top Of The Pops and we didn’t know what we were going to call them, so it was us in the office saying, ‘The posh one in the dress’. I didn't think of all five of the names. There were a few of us, but there was no real time spent because it was only meant to be in our magazine. Then a columnist from the Daily Star phoned and said, ‘It’s so funny, do you mind if we use them?’. It was mentioned in a Sunday Times article. And it started to creep up. Simon Fuller phoned me from LAX and said, ‘We've landed in LA, everyone's going nuts, but no one knows their real names.’”
