It's hard not to feel like the reception to Joker has surprised her/them. I just hope they weren't expecting the presumed smash of Joker to be working in tandem with this because it's feeling very muted so far.

It's been 2 days since the release? A week would be considered radio silence in my books. The video is coming fairly soon of course, we just don't know the exact date yet.

yeah I think other than the promo the one thing keeping this from being a stellar smash is the fact that Die With A Smile is still ripping it up on the charts, we'll have to watch for a few weeks before saying if the doomposting is warranted but regardless...

Bad Romance video was released 3 weeks after the single release too. Maybe she is mirroring that era as the song kind of revisits that theme? People are over-dramatic in this case imo. Maybe the video on Saturday would've soften the Spotify drop like 25% instead of 34% but does that really make a difference?
