From what I remember, the reviews for 'Disease' were almost unanimously 4-5*, or am I just imagining that?

 

I recall it being praised as a return to form, and Gaga being quintessentially Gaga in the best way possible! The reviews definitely influenced how I thought the song would perform as I shared (and still share) the same viewpoint and thought this would slot right in with the big pop hit revival we've seen lately! Obviously this hasn't quite been the case, and it hasn't been a flop by any means: I just loved the song, believed the hype, and expected a monster smash #1 hit out of this... 🤣 (I to that says more about my taste in music, I'm clearly still stuck in the music of a decade ago haha)

 

Either way... Pleased to see it on an EOY list, and hope others display the same taste! Hopefully the masses will see what (I'm assuming) the gays like me see and this will gain some chart traction in the new year. One can hope...

It's a shame it had to face the flood of Christmas hits - especially in this case 6 weeks in top 40 would've sounded so much better than 4 :/

I thought it was at #41 this week minus Christmas songs, unless I miscounted.

 

I recounted and still got 46 Christmas songs... But regardless it's chart history will always show much lower and it's unlikely to regain much traction in January.
