Aw, harsh result for 'Kiss Of Life'. It sounds like actual disco, unlike the album titled it which is mostly wishy-washy dance pop (although KOL was produced by Jessie's producers so that's probably why)

I don't necessarily hate it, I do feel like I've been a little harsh to some of the songs in the lower section here.

Next batch of six songs will come later in the day. I believe these ones are spread out across multiple different albums.

63. Timebomb
62. Celebration
61. Tension

My next batch of 6 songs feature 2 singles that were the title tracks for their respective albums, 3 singles that were taken from a greatest hits compilation and Timebomb, a stand alone single. Not much to say on any of these really They were all fairly new to me, I don't think I'd heard Flower or Timebomb before starting this. So they may all have potential to climb once I become more familiar with them.

The countdown so far...

72. Kiss Of Life

71. A Second To Midnight (with Years & Years)

70. Real Groove

69. I Was Gonna Cancel

68. Dancing Queen (Live)

67. Kids (with Robbie Williams)

66. Golden

65. New York City

64. Flower

63. Timebomb

62. Celebration

61. Tension

And with that I'm up to the top 60. I also realised I might've left of Sincerely Yours, upon re-checking it appears it was a radio single in Australia? Not sure how I missed it.

New York City is awful and should be bottom.

Tension is a great single that deserves a higher placement.

Flower is a stunning ballad that would appear much higher on my own preferences

Dancing Queen isn’t a single!

Interesting list so far… I wouldn’t have anticipated 3 Disco singles being so low. Personally I can’t imagine considering them to be less good than Celebration, New York City or I Was Gonna Cancel (or honestly quite a lot of singles still left to be revealed, but hey, it’s your taste not mine  )

It wasn’t a single technically, but I remember it getting a radio push in Australia more than any other non single which is why I included it.

Thanks… I think,I’ve said before I think I need to give Disco more time to connect with me. New York City on the other hand I may have been a little to generous with my placing for it.

Thanks for all the comments and feedback so far. I’ve only ever really been a semi-casual Kylie fan until this year and that’s probably being a little generous. Saying that though I have really loved what I’ve discovered this year.

I also really appreciate the friendliness and welcoming attitudes of you all in here. It makes it a much more pleasant experience. :)

I'm back to work tomorrow so the next batch will be in about 24hrs from now.

It'll be 5 songs, with 4 different decades represented.

Timebomb, flower and a second to midnight would all feature much higher in my rankings. The rest I pretty much agree with as ranking at the low end.

Great start!

72. Kiss Of Life - Overrated by the fanbase and never got the love for it

71. A Second To Midnight (with Years & Years) - See above

70. Real Groove - Love this one but I guess against so many classics it doesn’t really hold up that well

69. I Was Gonna Cancel - Seems to be universally disliked but I love it

68. Dancing Queen (Live) - This seems to have passed most people by

67. Kids (with Robbie Williams) - Lovely to see this at the bottom of the pile :kink:

Love hearing others opinions on songs especially ones they may not have heard before.

Timebomb is surprisingly low.

Not one that I would rate highly but is usually a very popular song here

Real Groove, Flower, Timebomb & Tension are the ones that I think suffered the most from only a handful of listens and me not being familiar with them.

If I was to do this again in 6 months to a years time I can definitely see those all climbing.

I thought the version of 'New York City's she performed live in the disco style sounded great, but the cheap attempt at sounding like Mylo for the actual recorded version seemed to sap the life out of it.

If this version of Flower doesnt sell it to you nothing will, i always think this is a stunning performance from Kylie, always gets the hairs on the back of my neck standing up.

60. Where Is The Feeling?
59. Music's Too Sad Without You (with Jack Savoretii)
58. My Oh My (with Bebe Rexha & Tove Lo)
57. Hold On To Now
56. Especially For You (with Jason Donovan)

Into the top 60 now with my next 5 songs. The songs in this sections come from the 80's, 90's 10's & 20's. I need to fess up and admit I may have mad an error here, I never realised Where Is The Feeling? had a single mix as when doing this I was listening to the almost 7min long album version. That in someway contributed to it's placing here I feel. Music's Too Sad Without You & Hold On To Now (#59 & #57) are again casualties of only having heard them a handful of times each, so the potential for them to climb is there. With regards to My Oh My, it's been one that I've always enjoyed on some level since hearing it a few months ago and whilst it's not close to those above it given it's one I given multiple listens to since it's release it's helped it place here. Especially For You with Jason Donovan is the first single from the 80's to drop out. I do like it, but when comparing it to her other singles from the 80's it just doesn't quite hit the spot for me.
