Are they madddd! (Presumably they’re releasing to coincide with the radio premiere?) But major hype! Expecting something very tongue-in-cheek and “fun”! I love the fact we’re getting promo singles but it does really worry me that when artists release promo singles before the next official single it affects streaming figures and hype massively. Unless they want to just build up for her album / potential tour rather than having big single success?!

Unless they want to just build up for her album / potential tour rather than having big single success?! I do sorta get the vibe that they're not chasing after having giant chart-topping success. Jade seems genuinely surprised at how well AOMD has done, I wouldn't be surprised if she and her team were planning to build a smaller but very supportive audience so she could sell a decent amount of albums and tour successfully. It doesn't help that having a huge single rollout doesn't really guarantee success these days, any random song can blow up on TikTok and become a smash hit, so it seems smarter to just release music consistently and see if anything sticks!
September 5, 2024Sep 5 I think also in her case she doesn’t even have a back catalogue so having a couple songs there before the album’s out will be good to extend her reach in playlists, listeners etc. Leigh has more listeners than Perrie now due to the EP. These songs also probably won’t even be sent to radio.

It seems stupid to release on a Wednesday no matter what way it's spinned. She's having a decent hit with her first single and the best thing to do right now is try to maintain the momentum and milk as much commercial success out of her music while they can instead of literally abandoning any chance of the 2nd single being a hit by tossing it out midweek as a promo single with another song.
