It's been a few years since The Darkness released 'Motorheart' now, and they're back next year with their eighth album 'Dreams On Toast' on March 28th!

 

Lead single 'The Longest Kiss' released yesterday, which has a bit of a different sound for them.

 

I can't abide them really, but I've got to say that is a fantastic album title!

I like the longest kiss but I keep expecting it to turn into a huge Christmas chorus from the verses as it has that kinda sound.

I think this is one of the strongest lead singles they’ve released! It’s been stuck in my head for the past week.

Second single 'I Hate Myself' is out tomorrow!

This is good, not quite as fantastic as the lead single though.

A band I didn’t think would trend chase with a country song but do quite like this!

Number 2 in the mids with over 24k sales ,really did not see this coming at all, i didnt even think the album would manage 10k in a month let alone 25k in half a week, its a great result for them.

Wow, incredible sales! Shame they released on the same day as Mumfords.

They will almost outsell all of these combined in week 1.

I see they have a cover of 'Mistletoe and Wine' on one of their many digital deluxe versions - I hope that ends up on streaming platforms by December!

The "Members' Edition" is on streaming today with four new songs, each with a different member on lead vocals!
