I am curious if there's any weight to the rumours re: Joe and Shawn delaying out of fear because of an unannounced big release... or if it's just because their labels weren't satisfied with the preorders and wanted more time to try and course correct?

I can't see Taylor surprise releasing 'Reputation (TV)' and I do NOT see a new album from her at ALL (at best we get an announcement with a pre-order window). I also don't think Gaga is surprise releasing a new album either. At best for Gaga it'll be the lead single (which isn't enough to delay your ALBUM by lmao)... Very intriguing all the same.

I don’t think so I reckon both are just selling really poorly so they’re coming up with a plan to increase sales.

MV views depend if it’ll be out on Friday or not. If it’s out on Friday I think it’ll easily hit 1M, if it’s not it’ll struggle more. Look at Perrie’s latest video already outstreaming the Tears one. When it’s out on release day it always attracts a lot more interest and helps out on other streaming platforms.

Taylor has announced 'The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology' is (finally) getting a physical release at the end of November. It's said to have "35 Tracks"... the anthology as we know it currently is 31 tracks... so 4 more new songs are due! I wonder if this Friday is the surprise release of those 4 new tracks? IF it is that, then we have 4 x Taylor tracks and 1 x Gaga track getting above. JADE, could potentially be looking to debut low top 50 on Spotify as Taylor will 100% eat all the hype and playlist positions etc.. (providing support is as strong for this as it was for AOMD - I have a slight feeling it's going to be stronger for some reason)

I think we have to be realistic. I think it won't do quite as high as AOMD as there isn't that debut single hype from the start. I think anything over 200k would be a win for Spotify debut!

I think 200k would be very low considering her surprise drop ''midnight Cowboy '' did 200k without promo so i guess her single with more playlistening will definitely do more but still not outdoing aomd so i guess my predictions are pretty realistic 🤷‍♂️

Are your numbers including WW? Coz I agree. But 500k in the UK alone would be a top 5 debut atm which is 100% not happening aha.
