I just Wish max mcnown a lot more free pick up on streaming

It’s been hanging around the Spotify viral chart for a while, so probably isn’t far out of the Top 200.

Somedays up to #3 on Apple, please no.

 

Wish Apple would stop pushing it on playlists so hard, it’s rubbish

AM pre-saves distorts a song now. Before rising quick meant it would be huge but both the weeknd’s started high then didn’t go anywhere so you can’t really tell until after 24 hours

How does that work? If you pre-save you still then have to stream it for it to count towards the streaming chart for the service surely?
I have never seen any point in pre-saving a streaming release. I still have to go to the platform and play it so I might as well just type few letters in the search bar :lol:

Iirc, pre-saving helps determine the popularity of a track and is partially helpful towards their playlisting on impact/release week. Icr where I read/got that from, but I thought the same as you and then found this out and I guess it makes sense. I still very rarely pre-save tbh. I only do it for the artists I STAN (like JADE) but I don’t even know what it does as I don’t ever receive a notification about it being added to streaming or anything :lol:

That makes sense I think, but then it is impossible to pre-save a short notice/surprise release (singles in particular). But it's a probably a tool of a sort for the platforms.

Yes this is true - I've seen many (smaller) artists highlight how important presaving is for them as it increases their chance of visibility on playlists from day 1.

 

I don't see why presaving would have any sort of impact on Apple Music right now though, because it's hardly a new thing. The Weeknd starts high because he's a big name and there's curiosity streams from the start.

KSI is probably going top 10 this week looking at todays numbers. He’s one of them type of people who won’t stop promoting until it gets some level of success and it’s doing big numbers on YouTube too. Taste & DWAS almost certainly going DCL-2 also

No reset for either Guess and Apple then

 

25% roughly 75k streams if we say Spotify alone as of today and it’s about 200k streams ahead of last week so apple should def get a reset but guess yeah not happening so hopefully the 1975 one but it’ll probably be talk talk
