Are you including 'Hold Me Like A Heaven' in that? Because that was literally their best single in years and totally deserved to chart! Having said that, 'Decline & Fall' is also pretty good.
October 28, 20242 yr Genuinely think she could have got number 1 with the video out and physicals! I guess they are playing the long game with the single rather than peaking on week 1 and falling. Hindsight suggest that's the wrong strategy this time round. With a load of unwaftable stuff actually on ACR this would have been just the right time for an all in first week push that could have got it #1.

Having said that, 'Decline & Fall' is also pretty good. International Blue and Hold Me Like A Heaven are fine, as is The Secret He Had Missed. But there was a lot of poo on their parent albums. I feel like Decline & Fall would have been a lot better without the cheesy production. The piano kind of goes through me! They did that kind of thing a lot better with Walk Me To The Bridge, which is somehow 10.5 years ago already. Madness! October 28, 20242 yr Back on topic and I definitely wasn't expecting something that energetic and and electronic from Gaga after Die With A Smile. Seems like it could be a rather eclectic album.
