I can't believe that Luca Guadagnino is blessing us with a second movie this year following "Challengers" (which still remains my favourite movie of the year so far)

I'm seeing this on Thursday, didn't realise it was the same director as Challengers... put a bit of a dampener on it for me now as I thought Challengers was too long and too slow.

I've got some bad news - this is both longer (only marginally) and slower. :kink:

I quite enjoyed the first two 'chapters', but the third one once they got to the jungle, I started to wonder wtf was going on. And I think it should've just ended with the

flash forward scene at the bar, we didn't need Daniel Craig transforming into Captain Tom

Daniel Craig was very good (and Drew Starkey very pretty), but overall nowhere near the level of "Challengers" or "Call Me By Your Name" for me (although the fact the same director has released both the former and this movie in the same year feels wild, they're so different).

Terrible film, I walked out by the time they got to the jungle as I couldn't stand it. Only time I've ever walked out of a cinema before. It was really slow, a lot of it didn't make sense, jumping from one thing to another. Too much effort on trying to make a critical arty film rather than a decent film.

Daniel Craig's acting was very good though.
