“All I Want For Christmas Is You” was of course first released in 1994, becoming the Christmas #2 that year behind “Stay Another Day”. After downloads counted to the chart and the rules were changed so songs could chart without a formal release the song re-charted in 2007. It peaked at #4 in the pre Christmas week before falling away as the Pogues, who were the year end #89, rose to #4 the following week.
