While I'd love that, her profile was also high last year and it was one of its lowest performing years in a while.

I think last year it was left off a few christmas playlists so hopefully it makes its way back this year again.

I think Eartha Kitt's version is the more popular these days for whatever reason. #44 last year.

Eartha Kitt’s version has overtaken Kylie’s since being added to all the big US holiday playlists - time for another KC track to take off.

Ideally another KC song would take off instead but not sure what they could do it make that happen.

Possibly to get it moving a 3 format physical release and buy some playlists but that's just the dream scenario really.

I’m surprised it hasn’t happened - I thought Parlophone would want to jump on the trend of old Christmas songs taking off.

 

I’m sure with a vinyl/CD release and updated video clip rather than the TOTP performance would do it wonders.

I think the same and with its success so far it's a missed opportunity if they don't, maybe next year for the 25th anniversary.

Santa Baby so far doesn't seem to be showing up anywhere yet, I know it's early and it's usually one of the later songs that seem to show up.

Not expecting a huge amount from it this year although it will chart.

 

So frustrating with the likes of Mariah, Wham, East 17 etc releasing physicals that Parlophone don’t cash in and throw out one too.

If East 17 can surely Kylie can

I agree by rights they should, but I think maybe the fact it was never originally a single may be the reason they're not?

I do hate that this has ended up as one of her biggest selling singles as she has loads of other better singles that are more deserving.

But i do like it gets her back in the charts nearly every year.

As long as people are saying her name, the song is doing us all a service.

 

Another top 40 would be very welcome.

It has already peaked in the top 40 so it wont add to her overall total unless it manages to make top 30 or higher.

I’d rather KC start clocking up a few more chart weeks than SB… like you say SB has done its thing and gone Top 40.
