I do think indie / guitars will return properly to the charts at some point. The early signs are there.

I'd be so here for that! Perhaps Oasis releasing that rumoured new album next year will kickstart it?

Hoping Gaga can have a big album / single in 2025! I’m not sure what to expect but do perhaps see the album doing about as well as what Chromatica did at least.

 

Definitely feel like Harry will smash though when he releases and potentially see him getting biggest album of next year. Can see Sam Fender also smashing too.

Of those I’d not want to release I went for Lewis and Ed but think we may get something from Ed possibly. Also as much as I love her I hope we don’t get TS12 next year but I’d be here for both releases of Taylor Swift and Reputation Taylor’s Version.

 

Of course as well I’d absolutely love Rihanna to release and a new album from Adele but yeah unsure on that and at present would say Rihanna’s actually more likely if anything as I think Adele’s break will be until around late 2027 at the earliest.

Do you reckon? The last era was not as massive as previous ones in my view. It felt like she didn't do enough to really capitalise and I don't think she has the pull she once did. Waiting until 2027 is a mistake if she wants higher numbers or she will continue to decline.

Looking back on her singles it seems she's been pushing less singles per album which often leaves you thinking the era is over quite quickly and if memory serves me right all the singles peaked around the same time (maybe within a month) and then nothing was pushed after. I guess she thought that was enough for one era before she hibernated again.

I can see Adele coming back in 2026, she probably won't leave it quite as long as usual.

Rihanna, on the other hand, I wouldn't be surprised at this point if she never releases an album again lol.

Adele is definitely an accidental superstar.

 

By this I mean she has a voice that labels etc want to promote to make loads of money (and have successfully done many times now), but I get the impression she's far more comfortable making music at her own pace and if people like it they like it, if they don't they don't. Most of 30 wasn't exactly commercial. 😂 I also get the impression the she very well knows she does not need to earn a penny more for the rest of her life, and this is probably FAR more than she ever dreamed of earning.

 

With that in mind, I'm sure she's under no pressure (from herself, at least) to release anything any time soon!
