December 6, 20241 yr I actually like Jack Saunders as a DJ and his evening show is really good. But what he's given to work with on the Chart Show doesn't play to his strengths. Take, for example, the "message" from Ariana he was given earlier... he even had to ask if he was playing it before or after the song. I think he is hugely dictated to as to what to say every step of the way for these couple of hours a week.

The relative decline in popularity of Pogues, Slade, Wizzard, Leona... in fact virtually all non-American artists aside from Wham. Feels especially sad this year given how few British hits we've had. Good to see Gracie likely holding on to #1 though, really don't need Wham getting 4 weeks every year from now on :lol:
