After it being spoken about for years and becoming a unicorn with Kylie saying she has no idea where the track is etc., ‘Baby Doll’ has leaked on the Internet sing by Prince.

 

 

Enjoyed that interview and Kylie looks very well there, nice if Baby Doll could find its way out of the vaults to streaming and downloads.

I never knew of this song or of Kylie's input prior to reading this thread.

Hoping for a stand alone release pre-tour with Kylie on the Og backing track, with Prince BVs then an electro-funk version to modernise.

 

I think Kylie’s version should do the first verse totally acapella to drum home the virginal aspect of the lyrics.

Normally I hate general terms in pop lyrics like ‘everything’ (Bananarama’s Stuff like that I’m looking at you) but here it totally makes sense as she’s just emerged from her chrysalis & is wanting to experience the world.

I’m kinda disappointed it’s leaked after all these years after it being ‘lost’ - could’ve been such a moment for it to have gone to Kylie and been released properly after all this time.

Sometimes these things leak on purpose ready for a surprise for fans etc.

 

 

After so many years the leak deserved some form of hype.

Media is starting to pick up on it more now but i think it could have been something more special if handled better.
