  • No better way to revive this thread Joseph 😍

  • Sorry Haim's last album opened with 17.5k, Benson's opened with 5k.

  • Seems like a pretty open one, I could see any of Benson/Yungblud/Haim/Loyle getting the #1 - Yungblud's last opened with close to 23k and Loyle Carner's previous did 16k

It’s something at least

8. Lil Baby - WHAM

Lil Baby honouring Andrew Ridgeley :cheeseblock:

Hope Robbie can get to no1!

Could you explain me the rules of UK chart for a little bit better?

CD release of Better Man OST is coming on Jan 17.

Will it be considered as the album for the Official Albums Chart or for OST Chart?

Does it make sense (for Official Albums Chart) if on music selling sites this release is listed as 'Robbie Williams' one and not Various Artists one?

if he's singing all the songs in the soundtrack sure it counts as a Robbie album
It's listed as a Robbie album by the charts company (it's number 1 on the downloads chart) so it should be classed as an artist album

I'm interested as to how Franz Ferdinand & Ringo Starr's albums will perform this wee.

1. Various Artists - NOW - Yearbook Extra 1977

3. Tremonti - The End Will Show Us How

4. Franz Ferdinand - The Human Fear

13. Lambrini Girls - Who Let The Dogs Out

18. Jakob Bro - Taking Turns

22. Bethel Music - We Must Respond (Live)

24. The Halo Effect - March Of The Unheard

69. Lionel Bart - Oliver! (2024 London Cast) [Live]

80. Ben Barnes - Where the Light Gets In

Do we have any more albums with new physical formats to deny Sabrina again? :teresa:

Franz Ferdinand's last album did 7.7k to debut at #6, that was back in 2018, no idea what level of anticipation/fanbase they still have out there to tell if they might be a #1 contender this time or not.

It's been on preorder since September, and it's been lingering on Amazon's music chart for a bit now. They should still get a top 5 placing hopefully. My copy has just arrived.
I'd say Franz Ferdinand should easily take the #1, every indie band can do 15K nowadays and FF are far bigger than most of those.

It's not 'every indie band' though. It seems completely random whether bands from that era can manage to pull off sales increases or not. There have definitely been previous weeks where I thought albums like this might do quite well but then they made no noise.

Sabrina's sales have fallen off a little more than I realised so FF might only need 10k to get #1 which seems feasible.
