Something like APT. would be very much at home here.Heart needs more fresh, newer music there are so many songs that would fit so well in here.
April 7Apr 7 Here are a few songs I believe could be a great fit for Heart’s playlist:Alex Warren – Carry You Home & OrdinaryBillie Eilish – Birds Of A FeatherChappell Roan – Good Luck Babe, Pink Pony Club & The GiverDasha – Not At This PartyGracie Abrams – I Love You, I’m Sorry & That’s So TrueAdditionally, Calvin Harris - Pain Away and Doechii - Anxiety (since it was number 1 for 3 weeks) might also work, although they may be a bit of a stretch.

April 11Apr 11 Author I've definitely thought Alex Warren and Gracie Abrams would be right at home on Heart. Ordinary feels too big for them not to be playing it!

April 12Apr 12 Ha true, although it sounds and looks like it’ll be there until the Christmas songs push it down!

Nice to see them actually add a song whilst its at its peak. 😆Stick Season has also finally dropped off the main playlist recently, just one or two plays a day now. Edited April 16Apr 16 by Roc07
April 16Apr 16 Oh kill me nowwwwww I cannot deal with ordinary being added to the rotation with beautiful things/lose control/a bar song r

April 25Apr 25 To be fair in my opinion, the reason Heart doesn't add songs to the playlist until after their pop chart peak is because A) they're an adult contemporary station targeting an adult contemporary audience and B) the general public listening to Heart don't know about those songs properly to care about how old or recent it is - they just think it's good background fodder to hum along to, because it's catchy - at least to the audience Heart caters to.
May 8May 8 Author Chappell Roan - Pink Pony Club added. Feels right that they're playing it. They've done a pretty good job at picking up the big hitters this year.
May 16May 16 I'm surprised they haven't added more Benson Boone (e.g. Slow It Down, Sorry I'm Here For Someone Else etc.).
May 19May 19 Author Heart have just overtaken Radio 2 as the most popular network in the UK now. I think they have a real opportunity to tap into the Hot AC field a bit more. No one is asking them to turn into Capital but there are definitely some missed opportunities within the playlist.
May 19May 19 So the Heart brand as a whole set of stations combined (which includes listeners from their decades and Dance station) has more than R2 rather than that main station itself.
