September 5Sep 5 Super impressive mental strength indeed from Anisimova to get straight back to a grand slam final immediately after such a loss. I'm really rooting for her!
September 6Sep 6 Djokovic is still very comfortably the 3rd best player in the world which is incredibly impressive at his age but he's an absolute country mile and a half behind the top 2 right now.
September 7Sep 7 not the bestest women's final dominated by errors and errors and more errorsAnisimova was playing incredible some games and then giving up her serve to 0and when Sabalenka was serving to serve, 30-30, and she had the easiest smash on the net and somehow missed...
September 7Sep 7 Yes, it wasn't the best final. I was hoping it would go to a third set as Anisimova was playing better towards the end but Sabalenka is always so good in tie-breaks. It was also a shame the two Brits couldn't win the men's doubles final after having three consecutive match points with their opponents 0-40 down serving to stay in the match.
September 7Sep 7 Fans fuming as thousands missed start due to increased security by Secret Service for Trump. They wanted an hour's delay but in end was 30 min.
September 7Sep 7 Carlos was amazing. Another level. Truly took the mantle from Djokovic. Some people said after Wimbledon Sinner is a better all round player but Carlos proved he’s really the number 1
September 8Sep 8 yes still impressed at AlcarazSinner could only get points if he did an ace or a semidirect serve point, if the ball returned, it was Alcaraz most of th timeWithout his serve, Sinner is nothing
September 8Sep 8 just looking at the winners/errorsAlcaraz had 42 winners and 24 errorsSinner had just 21 winners and 29 errors
September 9Sep 9 Delighted that Alcaraz won, and now hopefully he has a lengthy stint as world #1 and overtakes the number of weeks that Sinner held the position.Draper is sitting out the remainder of the season to recover from his arm injury. ☹️
September 9Sep 9 Interesting that Sinner beat Alcaraz on his best surface and now Alcaraz has done the reverse. We need Sinner to be winning things now and then or else it'll turn into a boring Sport. But no denying this was Alcaraz's best tournament performative ever. Multiple slams on all 3 surfaces now. He just needs to sort out his bizarre terrible Australian Open form and we're looking at the guy who will reach 25 first injuries permitting.
