Just had a go at a full top 40, week 14 2024 to week 13 2025. You're pretty much bang on with your sales estimates, just had to change Hot To Go (it would've done a few sales in 2023 so its total wouldn't fit this list).

That’s brilliant , thanks very much for your help!

Yes you’re right, I forgot to remove pre 2024 sales from the totals.

A top 40 looks much better as it takes in more recent releases ……but Mr Brightside has snuck in too I notice 🤣

I was wondering if anyone would be interested in looking at this (or maybe it’s just me)? In the streaming era the EOY chart has appeared heavily biased towards songs released/peaking in the first ha

That would be a good challenge - to find a rolling chart where “Mr Brightside” isn’t in the Top 40. I suspect you’d have to go back a few years.

The Scientist showing up as predicted, this would be its first appearance on a year end list as it failed to even make the top 200 in either 2002 or 2003.

As discussed Show Me Love will definitely show up next week and I'm pretty sure MUTT will as well. Say My Name is more of an outside shot.

Pink Skies and BMF are on the chopping block and I'd guess Creep as well.

Additionally I think 505 and Chasing Cars could be in trouble soon, although both CRG and Like Him are falling much harder.

Show Me Love 100% entering with Mutt extremely likely this week. I have CRG and BMF falling out for them.

That could be spot on.

Is Pink Skies holding up better than I think then?

Or is CRG just doing much worse?

Both I guess. 😊

Last week:

Pink Skies 93-94

CRG 89-96

BMF 90-98

Ah right. I can’t remember exactly where I had Pink Skies but I think it was 96-98 range.

And I had CRG around 90 still so I’ve got both of them wrong

I did think Pink Skies was going to hang on for another couple of weeks, must be doing around 7.5-8k a week after at a glance on Spotify. If a third song should enter this week I would have Prada next to drop out, it's dropped a fair bit on the dance charts

Edited by gasman449

Yeah I have Prada struggling too, but I think Like Him is struggling more.

I only had Pink Skies doing 7k so I guess I’m underestimating there.

“Prada” actually OK for a while: 80-81 last week.

Oh wow that's shockingly high! Must have a lot more premium than free streams. Was also under the impression Like Him was a bit safer but it's been a bit low on the hip hop charts (out for the past 2 weeks) so will definitely need to adjust my sales for those two

Edited by gasman449

Like Him can’t be doing more than 5kish a week at this point

think you might’ve forgot Show Me Love? Was that the other debut this week?

Amended

Last week's positions for the top 40 are also incorrect - showing everything as a non-mover

MUTT must have actually been very close to entering last week based on that number.

Say My Name (Remix) should show up next week, think it will probably be the only entry, would guess 505 drops out.

With the debate in the other thread just had a nosey at last years and the biggest song at this point had a quarter of a million sales more isn't that further indication that "sales: are down"
