i'm actually pretty sad at many of my us follows losing a platform  it's also a platform that gives me so much humour and idk if insta reels hit the same :(

on another note, it's the chinese links which prompted the ban in fear of national security, which is something tiktok vehemently denies

The Supreme Court final ruling comes on Wednesday or Thursday at the latest I believe it’ll be interesting what they do because millions of Americans entire income is via TikTok

It's wild that this is even a thing, it's only going to get worse. Watched a film 2073 last night and that touched on similar notes, was really scary.

I don't personally want to lose Cassandra Bowman on tiktok

Lol @ freedom murica banning a social media platform.

It might not be gone for long. Trump starts in a week and he's changed his tune on it.

Trump starts in a week and he's changed his tune on it.

i saw a skit about barron trump begging trump to not ban tiktok

Maybe I'll have egg on my face this time next week but I have never for a second believed this ban would actually go through. LOL if the way they inevitably avoid it at the last second is by selling it to Elon though :')

im SO close into calling Elon Musk the head of "deep state"
Pretty genius move that in protest Americans are joining rednote(an actual Chinese app)
The Supreme Court decided not to rule on this today meaning we find out tomorrow
Supreme Court again ignored it today seems like they might not even offer an opinion and just let the ban go ahead Jan 19
President Joe Biden will not enforce a ban on social media giant TikTok which is due to take effect the day before he leaves the White House, a US official has said.

The ban is supposed start on 19 January, a day before Mr Biden leaves the Oval Office and his Republican opponent Donald Trump takes over after winning in November's election.

A law signed by Mr Biden last year saw Congress requiring ByteDance, TikTok's China-based parent company, to divest TikTok on national security grounds or face a ban in one of its biggest markets.

But the official, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said Mr Biden's administration was going to leave the decision to Mr Trump, who will be sworn in for his second presidential term on Monday.

I doubt Trump will ban it so a lot of fuss over nothing

I’d be hugely surprised if a libertarian country like America banned this!
