When it comes to mobile games that don't require a games console, which ones stand out to you?

For me personally, it's a mixture, but currently this is how I tend to spend my time;

Pokémon Go

A popular adventure game that requires time and effort to capture and collect wild Pokémon from all over the world and in your local community. There is so much to discover and achieve within the game and one that all Pokémon fans enjoy very much.

Pokémon TCG Pocket

Another recent addition to the Pokémon library is this digital trading card game. It is for the ones who love collecting and completing a set. There are many free packs and you can complete Battles within the game too and work through the levels.

Homescapes

Currently play this most days on my iPad and find it the most addictive mobile game to play, and have currently reached level 10941 at the time of this review. The simplicity of working through the levels and completing a story mode which sees the house get improved is what I enjoy the most, as well as the even more addictive time-sensitive sub-stories.

8 Ball Pool

Another addictive iPad game for me is the skill-based 8 Ball Pool which requires accuracy and also strategy to win games. It's an online multi-player game and I play random opponents most of the time. I have reached level 135 at the present time and my in-game balance has gone from very high to very low and back again. Always fluctuating. A very enjoyable game for me which I've played for many years now.

Angry Birds 2

I find that this game has become less enjoyable these days, perhaps because of so many in-game pop-ups and ads, and because the concept of flicking a bird has lost appeal over time, but it is still a skill-based game where you have to create the most damage as possible and destroy the green pigs. Very much buys into my childhood enjoyment of the Worms game series. I find it to be rather childish these days and I don't tend to play as much as before.

Scavenger Hunt

A hidden objects game that needs focus and attention to find cleverly disguised objects around a virtual map. There are many different maps to do and lots of bonus challenges also. It's quite a good one for short stints but I have been known to play for hours a day before. Another quite addictive little game.

Stop

A word game I got into years ago and then got bored of so deleted. It's a turn by turn puzzle game where you have to find words that fit categories which begin with a certain letter of the alphabet. You can play online with friends or random opponents. It feels a little bit of a novelty and I imagine soon I will once again get bored and delete it.

Everyday Puzzles

Another game by the makers of Stop, every day several word challenges appear where you have to complete the puzzles. There are currently 12 different daily puzzles to keep you occupied and you get medals and badges for completing missions.

What about you?

The only mobile game I play regularly is Royal Match.

Angry Birds games. At least, back then.

Unfortunately, I don't have the saves... I couldn't back them up. I don't wanna start from scratch. Heh.
