September 24Sep 24 Author 188 | Anamẽ & Lydmor - Hopeful | [35/42 (142) / 14/31 (66)]A very disappointing flop here as I'd thought this had far more hit potential than the previous handful of dance flops I sent. At the very least qualifying wasn't an issue for this one but we may just have to become a full time rock nation when a piece of beauty as this places bottom ten of the final. Or perhaps we could get away with a song that is both rock and dance? In other news we've also updated the OP with the map of the States of Danæviia that we meant to do way back when the world map thread was given a re-do.Thanks to the 22 below nations who pointed us this time:Ben's Sanctuary [+15]Jupiterdonia [+13]POPHub [+13]Zephyra Continuum [+12]Ramrynia [+10]Yehesi [+10]A-Konohagakure [+8]The Spodic Empire [+7]East Rukahavian [+6]Greenfroze [+6]Lookylion [+6]Zanmatony [+6]Taahino [+5]Thelonia [+5]Aelandor [+4]FSR Rontvia [+4]Vaskla [+4]Cor Lupus [+3]New Lexico [+2]Altyr Muunilinst [+1]Farc [+1]Juranabaijan [+1]Meanwhile, here is how we voted and ranked the final.+18 LAND OF DW; Calva Louise - Con Corazon+15 LENTYLL; Angine de Poitrine - Sherpa+13 AEROCHE; Ane Brun; ARY - Hold Me+12 HENDINIA; Wasia Project - Vogue+11 SÉYETANA; Trooper Salute - 絶縁+10 SKALL; Jasper Tygner; holybones - 28 Eyes+09 FLJÓTAVÍK; Juno Reactor - Return of the Pistolero+08 COR LUPUS; AMARA ctk100 - Paradiso Nights+07 DALISSKA; Chanpan - i got a gun+06 ENNEA; BALTHAZARD; Dyana - FADE+05 THELONIA; SUPERSTRINGS - Balearic Temptation+04 NELIÖNOIR; Tamara Flores; Tourist - Bésala Mucho+03 FSR RONTVIA; Pandora - Trust Me+02 TRIFOSKI; Dan English - Across My Jaw+01 NEW HELVETICA; Lankum - Ghost Town16th DJ Shadow - Stem / Long Stem - MedleyThe Midnight - CrystallineMarina Herlop - JaqueCibo Matto - Sugar Waterparis jackson; Manchester Orchestra - adagio (feat. October 5Oct 5 Author For BJSC 189 We welcome France's Rémi Gallego whose project The Algorithm combines prog-metal with electronic music. Taken from his sixth album 'Graceful Degradation' takes us on a journey of psytrance with hard hitting guitar sections scattered throughout. The visual accompaniment really adds to the overall experience too so take a watch and listen below. Let's hope the algorithm delivers for The Algorithm and Danæviia this time after our surprise flop.
October 14Oct 14 Author The algorithm has worked in The Algorithm's favour here and we are once again through to the BJSC final for a record extending 31st time. Following the shock NQs from Hendinia and Aeroche this leaves us at the top of the streak leaderboard. We have been placed 2nd in the running order so let's see if we can defy the death slot allegations and get our first Top Ten of the year.
Monday at 10:135 days Curious to know if you discovered this entry by beginning to type "the algorithm loves you" into Spotify which of course was a big BJSC highlight for us both earlier this year or whether that's just a neat coincidence? Either way, this is a brilliant dance-rock fusion that's right on point for the Danæviia brand right now!
Monday at 12:385 days Author coincidentalI did discover it on spotify through their algorithmic generated ‘radio’ for another song (forget which one) I use often to try and discover similar songs to what I’m currently enjoying
Wednesday at 22:293 days Author 189 | The Algorithm - Graceful Degradation | [08/41 (215) / 03/29 (103)]We can now pretend that this was our grand 15 year anniversary entry as The Algorithm has brought Danæviia back into the Top Ten for the first time this year! We ended up in eighth position where we last sat way back in 2017 with DJ Mangoo (BJSC 93) and DJ Licious (BJSC 97). He also joins Flawed Mangoes and BLACKSHAPE to have the third Rockæviia Top Ten.Thanks to the 26 below nations who pointed us this time:A-Konohagakure [+18]The Spodic Empire [+18]Aelandor [+13]Thelonia [+13]Trifoski [+13]East Rukahavian [+12]Bøtanikkä [+12]Zephyra Continuum [+11]Lentyll [+11]Dalisska [+11]Dobago [+10]Zanmatony [+9]Terra Avium [+8]Pestolia [+7]Daehun [+6]Elëdan [+6]Ennea [+5]FSR Rontvia [+4]Cor Lupus [+4]Bronzil [+4]Neliönoir [+4]N DNTN [+4]Cheiron [+4]Persephonia [+3]Altyr Muunilinst [+3]Flynnonda [+2]Meanwhile, here is how we voted and ranked the final.18 | Elëdan | Photay ‘Bombogenesis’15 | Ennea | Kalandra ‘Let Me Be Open’13 | East Rukahavian | Sarah Kinsley ‘Truth Of Pursuit’12 | The Spodic Empire | Squarepusher ‘Welcome To Europe’11 | Bøtanikkä | Temples ‘Vendetta’10 | Thelonia | My First Time ‘Every Version Of You’09 | Bronzil | The Drums & Mareux ‘It Didn’t Matter’08 | Séyetana | Junior Mesa ‘the cops are coming’07 | Pestolia | Perfume Genius ‘Natural High (50th anniversary entry)’06 | Neliönoir | Antony Szmierek ‘Flight Simulator (feat.
