The woman in love pre chorus sounded really promising but the chorus took a underwhelming turn idk

I think you go ur way still might be her strongest release yet these two are giving me tears vibes kinda

Her material just isn’t cutting it. She has so much potential (The capital performances were insane!!) I’m just not too sure where she goes from her these really average songs won’t ever do anything chart wise.

I feel like Jade, Leigh-Anne and even Jesy have discovered their sound but Perrie hasn’t yet.

I really want Perrie to smash it but the material is underwhelming, I think it’s because we know what she’s capable of.

These don’t sound good. :( Perrie’s solo career definitely feels the most underwhelming of the 4. As much as Boyz was a misfire, at least it would get stuck in my head.
maybe demi lovato or olivia rodrigo should write a song for her imagine a song like ''so american'' or ''29'' with perries vocals would be insane besides the fact that both of these songs are bangers

I don't understand why she's not going further into the pop/rock Kelly Clarkson/Avril/P!nk/Olivia route... she'd absolutely SMASH that sound.

The rock version of 'You Go Your Way' went down extremely well!

Yeah to me a rock route for her was a no-brainer. Sad to say but I think at this point it’s clear Perrie has no clue who she is as an artist.

Sounds kinda like tears (not necessarily a bad thing)

She mentioned something like having sister songs on her album (2 songs with similar production) i guess its this one and since its for valentines day its a love song which wont get proper promo i guess

I'm starting to get to the point that this just might be her ''sound'' (doesn't matter if we like it or not) as she tends to go for the feel good vibe i dont think they expecting chart and stream topping with these songs so far (i hope atleast)

I guess after LM success she just wanted to slow it down and relax a bit going along with some chill songs which is good for her but i dunno how an album release works out in that case since labels wants all that stuff idk

Perrie seriously needs to stop releasing music until she has something worthy. She's killing any remaining hype with each half-baked release. It shouldn't be that difficult for a woman of her standing in the industry with an incredible voice to find her sound and to work with the right people. Her A&R needs sacking pronto. Whoever is telling her to launch her career with an Ed reject or that any of these songs are good enough to set a successful career up needs sacking. I worry the fundamental problem with Perrie though is that she has no artistic identity and therefore is reliant on the quality of songs sent her way. She's always been the hippie rocker of the girls so it's mad she and her team aren't tapping into that to carve more of a distinct identity for her. Her vibe in the Power video is basically how I imagined her solo self to be. This basic bitch pop route is not cutting it.

I've been re-listening to bits of Demi Lovato's 'HOLY FVCK' album and I kept thinking I'd LOVE Perrie to do something like that (although I assume it'd be less "raw" as it's heavily about Demi's addiction troubles) or even something like Ashley Tisdale's 'Guilty Pleasure' album... that kind of pop/rock vibe.

I'll still be supporting her releases, but I agree that unfortunately it's just not cutting it right now. :(

It's such a shame because I truly believe she's one of the greatest vocalists we have in the industry right now.

Unfortunately, I think Perrie’s solo career is done and there will be no album. I think she’ll end up doing a dance collab which could go quite well - might even send her down the Becky Hill / Ella Henderson route. I think the label are releasing songs that have ‘known’ writers etc. Ed writing Forget About Us and Tears was probably released because it was originally for Selena Gomez.
I think some collabs is what she needs right now and it just might help boost her profile, she just hasnt got the right material in her solo career so far so i think she needs to try and new route.
