Consequence lists Lady Gaga’s “Abracadabra” as the 2nd best song of 2025 so far: “For the last decade, Lady Gaga has asserted herself as an actress. She’s always toyed with scale and theatricality,

This song on earphones is audio orgasm.

VERY clever of her to pair with Mastercard and do the dance challenge. This only brings out Tik Tokers to attempt it before it catches as being a trend even once the competition is over.

The foundation is laid out, although I still want a televised performance mother since you made me cry 2 days now so I deserve you singing it on TV :kink:.

The minute DWAS reaches 121 days on Global Spotify, I’m all for rapid dumping of that song and having full speed engines promotions Abracadabra.

Yeh I think this will be big, my straight girls who liked dwas love this

I think I can see why that might be, actually...

'Disease' was very classic Gaga with a light touch of updating (which I'm not sad about, and personally love). I think that sound just isn't mainstream anymore...

'Abracadabra' doesn't feel a million miles away from 'Rain On Me' (the production in the chorus, I'm thinking about), but also has a sort of 'brat' edge (which was influenced by some mid-00s stuff) to bring it in line with what's current. Dunno, I think it has a familiarity to what's around at the moment that might work in its favour!

Essentially, 'Disease' is pure nostalgia - so fits with a niche who craves that - and 'Abracadabra' is nostalgia influenced - so will sit more comfortably with what people are currently hearing!

This is my favourite Gaga song in probably over 5 years. Absolutely love and have it on repeat. It feels like chart/radio poison in a Judasy kind of way, but I feel like Die With a Smile is a safeguard for this era anyway so she can have a little fun without having to worry too much.
Cannot wait for Spotify numbers later today!!

I'll be surprised if it opens close to Disease's numbers even without playlist support. And I hope they support it massively on Friday.

Wasn't expecting it to enter the Top 50 on US AM (it already surpassed Disease's peak) and the Top 10 on UK AM so quickly though.

Kendrick takes the Superbowl stage on Sunday and Drake is releasing a new joint album on the 14th so they need to keep promoting it if they don't want it to be overshadowed.
