I didn't initially love it. I thought it was clunky and whilst not not liking it, I didn't find myself going back to it much and found it a tad annoying. But the last couple of days or so, I've been listening to it more and it's worming it's way up my affections. It's a bop and I'm happy it's becoming a big hit for her.

Not the best update today but it's still far outdoing our initial expectations. I'm still enjoying the fact it's slaying and about 30 positions higher on all formats than I thought it'd be at this stage :lol:

No 2 is a flop for someone like GaGa, unless it is long running. Beyonce and Taylor breeze to no 1 for WEEKS with no struggle, but they ahven't been sabotaging their careers for nigh on 15 years tbh.

Had she managed her career better, this woild have been a no.1.

What I've grown to realise is.. ^ if those songs did hit #1 they'd have the same sales and totals that they have now.

 

Born This Way splitting its sales over two weeks was so annoying at the time but in the longrun it really does not matter much because of how staple a song it has become for her. The same will be true of Abracadabra peaks at #2, #3 or #11.

 

Just enjoy the song and ride the excitement of its incredible start on the charts and streaming figures!

I mean, if anything other than #1 is a "flop" not only is it devaluing the meaning of that word but there's no room for any nuanced or balanced discussion.
