This is how the soaps have performed in the overnights so far this week:

Monday

Emmerdale: 3.2m

Coronation Street: 3.2m

EastEnders: 3m

EastEnders at 40: 1.6m

Tuesday

EastEnders: 3.2m

Emmerdale: 3.1m

Coronation Street: 3m

EastEnders Revealed: The Lock-in: 120k (8pm showing only)

Wednesday

EastEnders: 3.4m

Emmerdale: 3.2m

Coronation Street: 3m

Those Traitors figures last month were incredible in today's climate! What a phenomenon it has quickly become.

It must be ages since EastEnders was top of the soaps outside Christmas :o I guess the fact it has no advance iPlayer upload for this week, while the ITV soaps do, is helping the overnight figures - coupled with the buzz surrounding the 40th anniversary. Intrigued to see how the live episode performs tonight!

Be good to see what the consolidated figures are for ED and EE are for this week.

And if either can hold onto any viewers in the coming weeks

3.7m for the EastEnders live episode last night.

Ratings during the week: 3m - 3.2m - 3.4m - 3.7m

Compared with the week before: 2.3m - 2.8m* - 2.3m - 2.6m

*Emmerdale aired at 7pm so there was no clash

Interesting to see how much it will rise when catch up is counted in, it might bring the live episode closer to 5 million.
