I think she was dismissed from the case so "won" essentially. I'm not sure what public opinion on Lizzo is now though as it did taint her somewhat? She did a nice interview with Keke Palmer in Decembe

Always with the binaries. Her last album debuted at #2 in the US & Aus, and #6 in the UK. That's a fanbase.

  • let's see if this works on the new site... edit: clearly not so back to bare bones for the time being Spotify Chart Update (25/02) 01 02 Lola Young – Messy 400,429 PEAK 02 01 Kendrick Lamar – Not

Messy back at 1 on Spotify. Headlock up to new peak of 21, Sam and Tate still pretty stable with most of the latter's tracks climbing again. Fontaines at 119

oh my streams are so low Messy is #1 with 354K and Kendrick is #2 with #350

even for a Sunday

considering the songs on SCR

1 Kendrick 350K

2 Pink Pony 302K

3 All of the stars 285K

4 Luther 262K

5 Sports car 228K

354k for a No.1, that's the lowest Sunday total (and probably daily total overall) since 12th November 2023 when Jack Harlow was No.1 with 346k.

WE NEED A NEW BIG RELEASE

Edited by eman

Yeah super low numbers at the top, I can see not like us slipping a place or two every day from now but it still looks safe for a second week at #1

The low numbers at the top may mean Gaga makes a big splash when her album releases next week *_*

I don't think there are any major releases this Friday. LISA is releasing her album so "Born Again" may get a bit of a boost (fingers crossed!).

^Benson Boone is releasing a new single.

and I hope* Chappell releases the Giver and doesn't torture us with more and more useless teasers.

She already announced a 2nd vinyl single with alternative cover.

How it stands today

  1. Messy - 400,429

  2. Not like us - 394,520

  3. That’s so true - 383,546

  4. Pink Pony Club - 343,371

  5. All The Stars - 324,695

  1. Sports car - 313,454

  1. Luther - 305,068

  1. Ordinary - 269,872

  2. Revolving door - 258,387

Just realised Lizzo is releasing a new song Friday, might challenge for #1 with the low streams if it's good?

Lizzo? Wasn't she cancelled? I reckon Benson Boone has bigger chances with his newbie

Isn't she still in that lawsuit? Wonder if that'll have any effect on her new material

I'd be impressed if Benson even debuts top 40, it sounds like it has hit potential but even the immediate follow-ups to Beautiful Things both debuted outside the top 40.

I think she was dismissed from the case so "won" essentially. I'm not sure what public opinion on Lizzo is now though as it did taint her somewhat? She did a nice interview with Keke Palmer in December to discuss about everything.

If it weren't for the lawsuit I would say Lizzo was building up for a fairly big era as she had a really successful tour and is coming off a a successful album era as well. So if the lead single is good/catchy it will likely do well! It sounds interesting from the short snippet she posted.

Lizzo doesn't strike me as likely to be a very quick starter with her next era. Her monthly listeners is pretty poor and I don't see her as someone who'd get huge playlisting support day 1.

The Grammys would’ve raised his profile massively though so I’m quietly expecting a top 20 debut on Spotify. tongue

I wouldn't say massively - he's obviously been a topic of discussion since but there's no guarantee it'll translate into streaming success.

Benson's song is now out tonight at 11pm, not expecting it to show up in the streaming charts until after NMF's impact but if it arrives before then, I'll happily be proven wrong! (Edit: it's actually out tomorrow at 11pm so won't make much difference, ignore this x)

Lil Nas X is releasing a track “Hotbox” in March and the reactions to the teases have been really good, especially outside of his fanbase.

Potential song of the summer contender too.
