  • It would be the cherry on top of the cake for me if Chappell's debut album gains itself a #1 single at this late stage! Particularly as it's the song which technically started off the era, 5 years ago

Official Charts Report

Chappell Roan could finally clinch her first UK Number 1 single this week. Pink Pony Club leads the race mid-week (1). However, it’s not a done deal yet; perennial competition Kendrick Lamar is just under 1,300 chart units away with Not Like Us (2).

Benson Boone’s former chart-topper Beautiful Things is eyeing a re-entry into the Top 3 on Friday (3), while Benson’s brand-new single Sorry I’m Here For Someone Else is challenging to become this week’s highest new entry (18).

Alex Warren’s Ordinary is on the rise once again, and could reach a brand new peak of Number 6, up two midweek.

Two big hits from last year could also make a reappearance in this week’s Top 10; ROSÉ and Bruno Mars’ APT. (8) and Teddy Swims’ Bad Dreams (9).

Finally, JIMIN’s solo track WHO proves to be on the cusp of a resurgence one more; it’s expected to jump into the Top 20, up an incredible 25 slots midweek (19).

Potentially Brit Award resets though I still think they’ll be unlikely for the songs already streaming well unless a YouTube of a performance does decent numbers.

Predictions

  1. Pink Pony Club

  2. Not Like Us

  3. Beautiful Things (insane)

  4. Sports Car

  5. Luther

  6. All the Stars

  7. Ordinary

  8. Abracadabra

  9. Messy

  10. Revolving Door

Deeply depressing if this turns out to be the case though a first #1 for Chappell which is probably deserved after spending 2 months at 2

No idea for the albums

For albums I would guess either Sam for a 2nd week or Tate climbing as she's still streaming well. Sabrina 3, Brat 4 (assuming it wins the BRIT for best album), LISA 5

Just seen there's a new Blood Records version of Short N Sweet out this week, 10,000 vinyls up for grabs. Perhaps it'll go back to number one...

I can definitely see Sam getting a second week I don’t think he’d decline that sharply. We’ll see how the BRITs impact things RAYE had quite an impact last year didn’t she albums wise but a lot of the performers are already streaming stronger than hers was last year pre the BRITs.

Gaga hopefully coming for the number one album on next weeks chart though!

New Doves album is good, will be contending for number one

Completely forgot they had an album out honestly! Yeah they'll definitely be top 5

Doves and The Lathums both got to #1 with their last albums although both only around the 17k mark, I imagine Sam Fender's second week sales will be clearing that especially with the BRITs helping out.

will be interesting for sure in albums. At first I thought Lathums would be #1

but yesterday Sabrina announced those 10K Blood records vinyls and sold out immediately

so that's minimum 25-27K overall for her minimum considering she did 17K last week

guess Sam could beat that cos of the Brits effect but not 100% sure

I’d say it’s between Doves and Sabrina. Sam sold enough first week I doubt there are too many left and his streaming is so so

In a normal week sam would have no chance but hes performing at the brits

I would probably predict The Lathums to be the highest new entry over Doves?

I actually went and check and the last Doves album, their comeback The Universal Want opened with 17K

and the last album by Lathums opened with... also 17K

so don't think any can do better than Sabrina

I’m kinda shocked that Abra might get another week in the top 10 given how poorly it’s doing streaming wise. Like 3/4 of the songs with good numbers are on ACR. That’s insane
