  • That’s not bad for Gaga. I’m assuming they’ve only counted HausofKubrick’s sales so far so we’ll find out the true sales figure in the Tuesday mids.

I'm amazed anyone can paint Gaga's sales as underwhelming, they're fantastic for any artist, especially one who's over 15 years deep into their chart career!

Incredible opening sales for MAYHEM! To invalidate them is pretty meaningless and random because on any other week for pretty much any other artist the numbers would be hailed as very healthy and impr

Official Charts Report

Lady Gaga is set to take on Chappell Roan for Number 1 this week – Abracadabra (2) is less than 1,400 chart units away from Pink Pony Club (1), which became the first UK chart-topper for pop sensation Chappell Roan last Friday.

Following the release of MAYHEM, Gaga could also score a 18th UK Top 10 hit with Garden of Eden (10), while Vanish Into You plots a Top 20 debut (14).

After their re-ascent into the Top 10 last week, Myles Smith’s Nice To Meet You (7) and Teddy Swims’ Bad Dreams rise week-on-week (8).

Doechii’s Anxiety, which heavily samples Gotye’s 2011 classic Somebody That I Used To Know, is on track for a debut at Number 11 – the track was originally recorded in 2021, and has recently gone viral.

BTS idol j-hope could celebrate his highest charting solo single in the UK yet, with Sweet Dreams featuring Miguel (15).

Sonny Fodera and Clementine Douglas’s latest collab Tell Me could rise into the Top 40 for the first time (26).

JENNIE could earn a third Top 40 solo single with Handlebars, featuring none other than Dua Lipa (34).

Remember Monday, the UK Eurovision act for 2025, are currently pacing for a Number 43 debut with What The Hell Just Happened? It would be the country-pop trio’s debut Official Charts entry, and is less than 100 chart units away from the Top 40 midweek.

That Divorce album (Drive to Goldenhammer) is absolutely fantastic, my AOTY so far. I heard a description of them as a cross between ABBA and Wilco, which is as good as it gets for me. I predict some Mercury Prize glory!

hopefully Spiritbox can manage second highest new entry this week in the albums over Jennie

I’d hope slash expect a 70k opening for Gaga

Looking forward to seeing Gaga's sales as it really is a great album! What did Chromatica open with?

It was only 53k I think it’ll beat that easily

Hope not die with a smile and is Vanish Into You 3rd track die with smile had another time on chart

Edited by Dj Cheeky magpie

Does Jade's cover of “Frozen” stand a chance at top 40 / top 100 next week, it’s performing really well for an Apple exclusive

iTunes:

#2. JADE - “Frozen” (New)

Apple Music:

#179. JADE - "Frozen" (New)

If “Die With A Smile” does enough for a re-set it’s #1 without any doubt. Guess the boost isn’t looking so big with it being the last track though.

Surely there is a doubt because it’s still behind pink pony club on iTunes and Apple Music and that’s with the first day album boost that usually fades throughout the week

That's the point though - it needs to do the 25% for a reset first. That might look unlikely, but if it does do that, from sales of c. 17.5k on ACR therefore c. 34k on SCR, add 25% and it's on upwards of 42.5k, which Chappell may not be able to compete with.

Also dont forget Die is gonna have crazy figures on Amazon

Its been in the top 3 on Amazon since release date

Well it’s not looking likely that it’ll outperform pink pony in a straight contest so going by that it won’t get reset
