So doing my maths - if it was tripled up to a maximum of £3m - that means they still had another £2.5 million raised over and above the £3m had it not been matched by the Government.

That's still an amazing total in these trying times.

They suffered by a shortage of the normal A listers but went ahead anyway so congratulations to all involved.

That's a staggering £50 million they have raised cumulatively since 2006. :o

I've watched this quite a few times.

In these uncertain times which don't seem to be going away - I'm really liking the way he says "but we don't give up do we".

He's not serious very often but when he is - I always think he is very inspiring. He speaks directly, forcefully, eloquently.

Oh! I wonder how that happened? :o

That's a shame.

Still a huge amount of money though and the final figure will be higher. Hopefully they will still get to £10m. Which is amazing.

I think s Laura, it was great money on the night given that a lot of charities are finding it very hard to collect funds at the moment, well done to ITV for sticking with it

Very sad.

I so liked Pep Guardiola's reply on it: 'it doesn't matter what you have done with your life, Diego, it matters what you have done with our lives.'

I think it's a principle of life at all.
