Posted March 13Mar 13 First press is starting to drop through now!First up here’s NME with a lush wee interview and confirmation that we’re getting a fairly rapid back to back of singles - and they’re no longer on BMGNMESugababes on "unexpected" new single 'Jungle' and being "...Sugababes have spoken to NME about 'Jungle', their first single since 2023, and revealed that fans won't have to wait long for more music.
March 13Mar 13 Author DIYSugababes make powerhouse return with new single ‘Jungle’It’s their first release in three years, since 2022’s ‘The Lost Tapes’.
March 13Mar 13 I wonder what happened with BMG? Sugababes now being fully independent is a brave/confident step - I hope everything goes smoothly for them from here on out!
March 13Mar 13 Independent in the past would be a worry but these days it is arguably better for artists (if they know what they’re doing like I’m sure Sugababes do). Look at RAYE for example. It says a lot about major labels that Sugababes sat on a major roster for about a decade and barely released music, then go independent and music comes relatively soon after. I’m so happy they got a decent lawyer involved and were released swiftly.
March 13Mar 13 Author They’ve had no luck with labels as of late. Polydor completely shafted them. Not sure if BMG were as much of an issue or if the vibes just didn’t sit well after issues with the physical release of When The Rain Comes

Wouldn’t blame them if they made a quick exit from BMG if they sensed things weren’t going how they wanted given how many years it took them to get back to square one after Polydor. The Lost Tapes took 8 years to see the light of day after all 😬
March 13Mar 13 Author I know it’s the scum but it’s got some good bits of info in it The SunSugababes reveal bold change behind reunion & admit Gen Z...THEIR names are firmly cemented into British pop history. The original Sugababes line-up of Mutya Buena, Keisha Buchanan and Siobhan Donaghy have a career spanning three decades, with 18 Top Ten hi…
March 14Mar 14 BMG - maybe not happy with reaction to WTTC? Maybe wanted to much input and the girls wasnt happy! !
March 14Mar 14 To be honest, "When the Rain Comes" was a bit meh.A bit surprised things didn't work out between them and BMG as I thought BMG would know how to market them as a kind of legacy act.
