This is all over social media right now with the fandom split: half are gutted she isn't doing stadiums for the tour because she can very easily sell them out (see: Chromatica Ball and this tour being more in demand + the sold out stadiums in Mexico/Singapore etc) and the other half are saying that arenas are much better for the actual live experience even if it means less tickets sold.

Which camp do you fall into? Are you happy we are getting arenas or would you rather have waited until 2026 and got stadiums? Do you think we could get BOTH eventually?

From a selfish perspective I am happy that arenas have been picked for my country. I am also happy that she is doing the best of both worlds with some stadiums in countries she hasn't visited much of. So the music will be experienced as stadiums and arenas over the course of the year!

I do wish there more more dates though for the arena tour, I can't lie.

Arena's definitely better in terms of the actual show. I just have a horrific feeling I'm not going to get tickets because it's going to be near impossible.

Genuinely she could of sold out 3 stadiums because of the lack of Europe dates. Instead we're going to have to compete with people outside the UK and the huge demand here.

I think it's a case of if you get tickets you'll be happy it's an arena date, if you miss out you'll be wishing it was a stadium tour!

Hopefully more dates are added but I really do hope she doesn't over do it she's in such an amazing place at the moment I'd hate for her to get burnt out.

I really think we'll get a stadium tour next year before she has a bit of a break ( Is the rumour still true about Gaga: The Legacy? ) I can really see that happening as a final tour before her extended break to get married and have children.

I do think the children factor has impacted decisions considerably. The way her post is worded too this could be a BONUS tour with a bigger stadium one next year but I am not going to hold my breath for that.

I also agree with your comment that those that get tickets will be happy with the arenas and those that don't will wish it was stadiums. It's going to be a bloodbath :(

Seeing someone on stadium (like Gaga or Taylor) means that most of the audience are basically watching the screens only. I am pretty happy that she is doing arenas, because the experience is better for most people.

There are also less restrictions with the stage and arrangements in arenas, for instance weather doesn't have an effect.

I understand that all these 40 shows on stadiums would make Mayhem her biggest tour to date, but the venues alone don't make it her best.

Arena shows definitely look better from an aesthetic point of view. For someone like Gaga who puts on a real show and the staging etc is part of the experience and a spectacle itself it definitely looks better in the darker indoor environment of an arena and it does feel more Intimate and that you visually see more too. When it’s summer and the show begins when it’s still bright it doesn’t look quite as pleasing (although this is way beyond the artists control).

Stadium shows can be a great experience though! Theres pros to both really but there’s more risk with stadium shows (especially weather). The Gaga shows I’ve been too in the past what have been stadiums have been incredible though. Born This Way Ball at Twickenham remains a genuine life highlight and Chromatica Ball I had a great view for so I was definitely happy on both Gaga occasions it’s more other artists I’ve had slight issues at stadium wise (i.e sound issues and views at certain shows I’ve been Too for other acts).

But if I had to pick one I’d go for an arena!

Genuinely, I haven't noticed a notably different experience being in an arena vs a stadium. Arenas are not intimate settings as most are so big (especially the O2 and Co-op at around 20k capacity) that it takes any intimacy away. Acadamies and smaller are where there is a notable difference.

Standing vs seated is where the experience changes. And you get the option of both at both arenas and stadiums (again, generally you can barely see the stage in a seated arena spot, same as a stadium lol). I'm not a fan of floor seating, it's the biggest atmosphere sapper imo (theatres with permanent seats fall victim to this) - there should always be an accessible section regardless though.

In my view, opting for arenas over stadiums just means less fans get the chance to see you. And I wouldn't be surprised if the reason arenas have been booked is because the stadiums worth booking were already booked over the summer...

I much prefer arenas for the atmosphere (dark when the show begins), and usually feeling closer to the artist!

The atmosphere is arenas is much better however getting tickets will be so hard!

I think she missed out on stadiums because of the football season and she must have booked venues late!!

The number of tickets will not be that much lower in some cities. For instance in Paris, she does several arena concerts vs. one concert at a stadium. I had no problems getting a ticket to Paris last time around. However, she is a tiny bit more popular now but maybe all the spectacle seekers are not in the queue now as this is "only" a regular tour.

Stadiums always feel like a huge event, but for me personally, talking in terms of London, the O2 is much easier. It's closer to a tube station than any stadium in London, and there'll be far fewer people spilling out at the end - I've been caught in post-stadium concert queues at Wembley Park station for 90 minutes before and quite honestly, never again.

More generally, I think the lighting and set always pop off more in an arena without the natural sunlight, and I suppose it means we don't potentially have to wait until summer 2026 for stadium dates, if this summer was going to be too soon.

For reasons stated I am super excited for an arena - the darkness/lights out moment, the better view you are bound to have, the intense fan screaming in a closed environment - it's going to go OFF. I am super excited but at the same time devastated for fans that haven't been able to secure tickets yet.
