Will be interesting to see if we bounce right back or now that the Carrick bubble has finally burst, we go back to our first half of the season form.

Just proving what I thought and what usually happens, the new manager bouce has worn off and Man Utd are really struggling playing two games in quick succession. I will say it is noitcable how much it has affected the clubs in Europe this season with the extra added intensity. I think Man Utd should nail the Top 5 from here as they have the advantage with more rest.

Bigger question for me though would be where does this leave Carrick? I'm really not convinced he is going to be a good longer term appointment

It's only Carrick's first defeat since taking charge, it's too soon to say that the new manager bounce has worn off. We were never going to be unbeaten for the rest of time so a loss was always around the corner. He's still done a good job so far in my eyes and we'll see how the club reacts in the subsequent matches.

Give him a 6 year contract is what I say!!
