Spotify main chart hasn't updated but artist chart has, Ed up 15 places to 12 and Alex Warren down 2 to 15. Ed has a bigger back catalogue so might not be looking good for a number 1 debut

You mean, Ed has a B-IGG-ER back catalog. It's not even comparable, Alex basically doing most of it with 3 songs and a half, while Ed has tons of songs, and hits

I doubt he debut that high.

Quick recovery for the legacy act 😆 Nothing anymore should be written off on day one or two, or even week one or two. There is a new status quo going on in terms of how long it takes people to adapt

Just wanna say that while the urge to be a prophet of doom is at an all time high, often times things aren't as good or bad as they seem. Just go to the end of the June 2021 streaming thread and see a

on Amazon:

12 Azizam

107 Miley

Taking into account explicit versions:

Ed is #15 on Amazon & Miley #127. Really good start for both on Amazon, particularly Ed. Hoping Miley will start increasing a bit more on Apple. I'm thinking Ed debuts top 5 and Miley top 20 based on Apple/Amazon, unless they grow/gain quite a bit in the coming couple days or the spotify numbers are much bigger than Apple/Amazon.

Unfiltered streams on Spotify (global)

Ed: 3.08M

Miley: 2.72M

Bit of underperformance for both.

For context:

Miley - "Used To Be Young" #8 debut global with 3.9 million filtered streams.

Ed - "Eyes Closed" #23 debut global with 3.1 million filtered streams.

Ed - "American Town" #81 debut global with 1.6 million filtered streams.

Forgot how big "Used To Be Young" debuted with. Hoping Miley will stay stable/might climb.

Big improvement for Ed on "American Town" but a bit below "Eyes Closed" when filtered.

Ed #13 on Amazon and Miley #92 now.

Ohhhh that's lower than I was expecting. I think Azizam will grow and be a decent sized hit but probably too optimistic in it being a huge smash debuting at 1.

Both bad, but Ed is worse.

ED isn’t doing so great outside the UK but I still think he will do good UK numbers 350-500k

on Apple

7 Ed

40 Miley

48 Rudimental Khalid

49 Sleep token

Surprised at how well Rudimental/Khalid are doing!

The last 6-9 months on Spotify have been weird after the epic streams of the Jan-Aug 24 period. Begining to think we have passed the big entries at the top nearly. Or maybe we just haven’t had the songs that have impacted? 🤣

ED is #3 on HOT HITS UK and #2 on Today's Top Hits... his underperformance is way worse than Miley. Miley is #16 on TTH and #14 on Hot Hits UK

This. Also, he has a much bigger back catalog than her, none of them debuting less than Tate random songs from her last album. His Magic in the last 2 albums that was gone, wasn't just a fluke. I really think the public has moved on. He can still sell every stadium in the world and he's huge but less relevant for now for the GP. (maybe a big ballad will help)

We haven't even git all the data yet 🤣 and does hot hits even matter anymore like most this year's big hits so far have been slow climbers from previous years

3M WW? first day of a comeback single? with a huge support? It's like top 25 on Spotify, stop saying it's not bad. His last 2 albums did poorly also, it's not just a one-time thing.

I like Azizam and I'm fine with him but stop reacting like he's still a superman as he was 3 albums ago. He's just not.

Feel Good Inc recovering slightly to 97, Sultans of Swing straight back out again... Noticed Teenage Dirtbag is doing pretty well recently also.

Teenage Dirtbag is doing well but there's a number of songs ahead of it on the Spotify YTD which also aren't in the OCC one as of yesterday's weekly Spotify chart.

(#75 Doechii - Anxiety)

#76 Arctic Monkeys - I Wanna Be Yours
