Posted April 6, 20251 yr LETS GET A COMPETITION UNDERWAY, SHALL WE?It's as simple as...Predicting the WORLDWIDE gross of movies for the year 2025. The cut off point will include the LAST WEEKEND OF 2025 W/C 26th December 2025, chart. Here's how I will be scoring:3 points if you're in range (e.g. if you say 750m for a movie and it grosses anything from 751m-759m)2 points if you're 50m off (either side - e.g. if you say 750m and it grosses anywhere from 700m-749m OR 760m-799m)1 point if you're 100m off (either side - e.g. if you say 750m and it grosses anywhere from 650m-749m OR 760m-849m)HOWEVER if you get it BANG ON to the nearest million you get 5 POINTS (e.g. if you say 750m & it grosses 750,000,000-750,999,999)Does this make sense? Any questions feel free to either question it in here or drop me a PM!POST ALL ANSWERS IN THIS THREAD [EXCEPT THE TIE-BREAKER - PM ME THE TIE-BREAKER!]THE WINNER WILL RECEIVE A £20 GIFT CARD TO A CINEMA CHAIN OF THEIR CHOICE (I *believe* the big chains allow e-gift cards so I should be able to make it work (anyone NOT in the UK - I shall try for your chosen venues too, however, I can transfer the £20 to PayPal if needed!))THE MOVIES TO PREDICT THE WORLDWIDE GROSS ARE:Minecraft [4th April | Warner Bros]Drop [11th April | Universal]Sinners [18th April | Warner Bros]Thunderbolts [2nd May | Disney Marvel]Final Destination: Bloodlines [16th May | Warner Bros]Mission Impossible: The Final Reckoning [21st May | Paramount]Lilo & Stitch [23rd May | Disney]Ballerina [6th June | Lionsgate]Elio [13th June | Disney Pixar]How To Train Your Dragon [13th June | Universal]28 Years Later [20th June | SONY]M3GAN 2.0 [27th June | Universal]F1 [27th June | Warner Bros]Jurassic World Rebirth [2nd July | Universal]Superman [11th July | Warner Bros]I Know What You Did Last Summer [18th July | SONY]The Fantastic Four: First Steps [25th July | Disney Marvel]The Conjuring: Last Rites [5th September | Universal]Michael [3rd October | Universal]The Black Phone 2 [17th October | Universal]Wicked: For Good [21st November | Universal]Zootopia 2 [28th November | Disney]Five Nights At Freddy's 2 [5th December | Warner Bros]Avatar: Fire and Ash [19th December | Disney]TIE-BREAK (PM ME)WHERE WILL THE 5th HIGHEST GROSSING MOVIE OF 2025 END UP IN MY PERSONAL EOY RANKING?This thread will be open until SUNDAY 2nd MAY 2025 @ 23:59 (BST)
