April 27, 20251 yr UK TOP 100 SUMMARY AND REVIEW 25.04.25 #30 THE TOP TEN: 10. Bad Dreams – Teddy Swims (Down 1/31 charting weeks) 9. Love Me Not – Ravyn Lenae (Up 1/NEW PEAK/11 weeks in chart) 8. Busy Woman – Sabrina Carpenter (No Change/10 weeks in chart) 7. Beautiful Things – Benson Boone (No Change/66 weeks in chart) 6. Sports Car – Tate McRae (Down 1/13 weeks in chart) 5. Anxiety – Doechii (Down 1/7 weeks in chart) 4. Show Me Love – WizTheMC/Bees & Honey (Up 2/NEW PEAK/8 weeks in chart) 3. Azizam – Ed Sheeran (No Change/3 weeks in chart) 2. Pink Pony Club – Chappell (No Change/23 weeks in chart) 1. Ordinary – Alex Warren (No Change/6 consecutive weeks number one/11 weeks in the chart) NEW ENTRIES: 90. Spring Into Summer – Lizzy McAlpine (6.9/10) It's been quite a while since I've heard Lizzy – at times she can be boring, but I think she has potential. With this it isn't like she's giving us the 'Ceilings' of 2023; it's not as good as that, but it has a warm and chilled feel that separates it from other charting songs. Lizzy could make this a hit, but I think most likely it won't be. 82. Closer To The Floor – Jazzy/Ankhoi (7/10) Jazzy making sways away from your typical dance music is exciting to see, and it's nice to see her dabble in other genres. This has more of an alternative dance sound as it goes into Afro and house while maintaining a dance feeling. It's not basic nor safe, but it is pretty good music. If you like Jazzy's collab with KILAMANJARO, then very likely you'll like this! 80. Bluebird – Lana Del Rey (8.7/10) Yay! Yet another female pop act who fails to impress no matter what they release; that's another added to my list of the ones I dislike. I've never been a fan of Addison and wasn't expecting anything good out of this, especially seeing she's been on an insane streak of bad, but this is actually better than her usual; 4/10 is an improvement... but overall this is still just some forgettable pop song. 69. Party 4 U – Charli XCX (2/10) Why is she back AGAIN? And how can people stand minutes of autotuned, repetitive, easily made dance music? It's worse than generic, and it's pretty disturbing how people can find a song at the level of AI anything interesting. Let's hope the resurfacing of the track from 'How I'm Feeling Now' disappears because we don't need this. 50. I Ain't Coming Back – Morgan Wallen/Post Malone (7/10) After hearing this and finding out Tate McRae is on the album – I'm hyped! This legit might be a good album... but I'm still scared about there being 37 songs on it. This is a classic country song with a more pop radio hook, which is a good follow-up from the 'I Had Some Help' collab. Post delivered a good verse alongside Morgan, but Morgan did better. The use of drums added to the instrumental effect, which I quite enjoyed. 24. Headphones On – Addison Rae (4/10) Yay! RE ENTRIES: 100. Girl So Confusing – Charli XCX [BRAT being over will just revive this rubbish.] 89. It's Amazing To Be Young – Fontaines D.C. [It's not amazing to have this re-enter.] NOTEABLE CHANGES: Songs that fell 10 spots or more: 99. Guess – Charli XCX/Billie Eilish (Down 55) [HIGHEST FALLER] 98. Now It's Gone – Parallel (Down 11) 96. Sally When The Wine Runs Out – Role Model (Down 15) 85. Crush – AJ Tracey/Jorja Smith (Down 11) 84. Henry Come On – Lana Del Rey (Down 54) 79. Smoke The Pain Away – Calvin Harris (Down 10) 59. Caramel – Sleep Token (Down 19) 43. End Of The World – Miley Cyrus (Down 11) Songs that climbed 10 spots or more: 83. Wildflower – Billie Eilish (Up 16) 70. Dreams – Fleetwood Mac (Up 10) 65. Sultans Of Swing – Dire Straits (Up 18) [HIGHEST CLIMBER] 46. All I Ever Asked – Rachel Chinouriri (Up 12) 25. Shake It To The Max (Fly) – Moliy And Silent Addy (Up 10) 11. Steve's Lava Chicken – Jack Black (Up 10) BEST AND WORST: NEW entries: BEST – Bluebird – Lana Del Rey WORST – Party 4 U – Charli XCX THE WHOLE TOP 100: BEST – Beautiful Things – Benson Boone WORST – The Days – Chrystal NEXT WEEK'S PREDICTIONS: Possible new entries for Linkin Park, Benson Boone, PinkPantheress, Sam Fender, Zara Larsson, Aitch & Anne Marie and more! For the full list check out my new music Friday!
April 27, 20251 yr Been trying work out if anti female artists for weeks but finally a positive thing said about lana 🙌
April 27, 20251 yr 13 minutes ago, dandy* said:You mean by forgetting to say anything at all about Lana? 🤭They mention bluebird in their commentary though 👀
April 27, 20251 yr Do they? I was being cheeky about the commentary being a copy and paste of the Addison one (which I assume they just forgot to change)
April 27, 20251 yr Do people actually read that summary every week? Music taste is so subjective that I fail to see the point. They don't often have anything good to say about any releases either!
April 27, 20251 yr First time I’ve ever noticed it to be honest, I tend to usually look at the sales thread and this one not so much
