Previously we ranked Gaga's album names

Now it's time to discuss her artwork for each album and rank them. Here is what you are ranking and deciding between:

They really are not very good on the whole are they? I absolutely LOVE Chromatica - it's such a striking photo and unlike anything I'd seen before at the time. The Fame Monster and The Fame are hugely iconic images now and staples of pop music culture - I adore the former and like the latter. Then it gets progressively average, followed by horrendous tearsmile

Very torn on this one. I’m gonna purely just go for her solo “pop eras” first the add some commentary to the other ones.

  1. The Fame Monster - Both covers are just legendary and symbolise the era so well. They also kinda just feel iconic within pop culture. So early on in her career and she’s fighting for artwork like that. Iconic!

  2. Chromatica Striking! Gorgeous artwork. The boots! Her pose. It’s one of the best things about that era! Love the cover though would love to own it on a canvas or frame! I think it captures the era well too. I wonder how the artwork would’ve looked had it been 2022 however as the aesthetic them changed to the tour!

  3. ARTPOP - Ok so it’s kinda chaotic but it represents the album really well and it’s striking and very her! It’s OTT, but it works. The only thing I’d personally change would just be to not have her name on the cover but besides that i love it.

  4. The Fame - It’s very striking for a debut album and kinda makes you intrigued. I think I know what kind of album your in for by the cover but for me I think there’s artwork in the booklet that I prefer. I think the back cover of this kinda looks even better and there’s another image in the booklet I love but it’s very Kylie fever esque. I can see why the cover was chosen though as it does stand out and I think this is very recognised.

  5. Joanne - Love the photo used! Probably the least album cover esque of all the images but for this album I guess it works. The pink hat is kinda recognised now in pop culture too. Love the minimalist look she has too. She looks gorgeous on this cover. It’s not necessarily screaming album cover though but that’s not really a critique more just her other covers are all very she means business esque and this one stands out from looking very conventionally pleasing (if this makes any sense)

  1. MAYHEM - I prefer some of the other covers to the main one used on steaming sites etc! It’s not necessarily bad but ever since I realised it was a photo of a photo and the glass shard was real and then the you can see a corner of another photo on the cover… However musically speaking my favourite project from her in a long, long while!

  1. Born This Way - Her best era music wise but the artwork! There’s gorgeous imagery for that era it’s purely just the album cover doesn’t showcase it on either edition. I prefer the standard to the deluxe though bizarrely! The motorbike to be the main cover for both editions on streaming sites please x

^^

That's the cover I choose to use for Born This Way on any playlist I make, the gagacycle must be eliminated

The cycle is pretty horrendous in itself but the FONT too? I definitely prefer the deluxe cover or of course the one mentioned above too.

In fact so many of the images from the BTW photoshoots are much better choices than Bikega drama
