I'd be very surprised if even 0.0001% of the people listening to it even know what ACR is, let alone listening to a song deliberately to keep it from ACR You would do really well sometimes if you ac

Was Elton really that desperate for a #1 when he'd just had two others in quick succession?

I think we are in an era when you can’t write anyone off. Even Kylie had a couple of hits this decade!

Legacy artists can always get a hit here and there look at Elton John with Dua lipa

My immediate thought here was Kylie got her two top 20 hits on her own and didn't need a collaboration and just think what she could have managed if she'd teamed up with Dua Lipa.

Then I remembered that when she did for a remix of Real Groove... and it only managed to make #95!

It was a novelty record, it was a bit of fun, chill out!

Fri-Wed comparisons to last week (of course Thursdays aren't used):

Ordinary +1.55%

Pink Pony Club +3.64%

Beautiful Things +2.49%

My feeling is the streaming total for 'Ordinary' will have a small decline tomorrow and the other two will have increased, but we'll see.

To be fair, I think if it was a new song by Dua Lipa featuring Kylie it probably would've done the business. As an existing Kylie song where you can barely hear her on it, that's a bit different - especially as history has shown Dua's name being attached to something doesn't necessarily always guarantee success!

I know.

There was supposed to be a certain degree of humour in my post.

The remix of Real Groove always deserved more than a #95 peak
