If only someone like Ariana Grande would hop on a remix of this and give her a deserved global smash. 🙏

#1 on iTunes! At least we get some form of number 1 😂

  • This definitely joins Angel and FUFN in my top 3 JADE songs so far. The production is stunning. I didn’t expect to be so wowed. Really is giving ‘Dancing On My Own’ Robyn pop perfection vibes.

  • Her best yet imo. I’m on my 5th listen and only loving it more and more each time. 6/6 she’s honestly smashed it! Sounds like a smash, really hope it is for her.

At 34 in today’s midweeks!

And up to 83 on Apple! Hopefully it can keep climbing until the weekend effect knocks it back down. 😅

I agree she even said herself she wants to be a touring / festival act! It’s just worried me that RCA seem to want her to have streaming hits. Everything Jade’s said about the delays has been the label wanting to build her streaming. It’s understandable but I just hope they are fully on board.

Genuinely, have never been so invested in anyone at least not for a long time. I just want her to have her flowers because it’s rare we actually have an artist that is a genuine pop fan and wants to give us everything! (I’ve said that so many times haha)

The problem is, in order to obtain any true album success she needs some streaming support. Her physical sales don't appear to have been strong and a 4k album week one then dropping out of the charts is not going to give her any career as an albums and touring artist. I actually think she would fare much better on an independent label, ok the budget wouldn't be as big but she could certainly still make albums with critical acclaim and build a career as a top 10/20 albums and touring act.

Back on topic, I really like this one, it's my favourite of her singles so far. ❤️

I'm taking 34 as a positive given virtually zero playlist support and no physicals.

For comparison, IT girl was at 21 in the Monday update and Fantasy was at 37 so I’m guessing PB will land around 50 on Friday.

I hope jade can stay top 75, it will probably be touch and go which is a shame as the song deserves more.

This.

Everyone keeps saying 'oh she's an album artist so it doesn't matter about the singles' completely forgetting you still need popular singles to make the album a success.

The good news is that she sold out on her tour and if she's in this for the long run (depending on when Perrie and Leigh wanna reunite) then I can definitely see her building up a solid fanbase over time and potentially having the odd top 40 hit again here and there. She has serious hustle and incredible talent and the acclaim so I hope the inevitable album top 10 debut - out of top 40 next week trajectory won't dishearten her or her fans.

I feel like Perrie and Leigh both gave up quite quickly (and so did so many other members of pop groups who went solo) and I'd hate to see the same happen to Jade.

Although to be fair 'Angel of My Dreams' is probably going to get a Platinum certification soon and that's certainly a triumph. I NEVER would have expected any of the girls to get a Platinum single and she'll always have that.

To be honest I'm not sure most of the 'pop girls' continuing would have seen them garner any further success. Thinking along the Spice Girls lines for instance Melanie C has kept it going all this time but in the UK she only had one top 10 and 3 top 40 singles after being dropped from Virgin. It's only her determination to keep going and funding her own label that has seen her continue to this day. She did have a fair bit of European success to back her up at least but that has seemingly well and truly dried up singles wise now too. She is proof you can keep doing it though if you truly want to, Jade would certainly do well to build up that festivals and tour circuit as it does pay dividends in the long run.
